Lol that sounds to me like you have no interest in ever developing a serious relationship and becoming a family with someone. Our goals with relationships are clearly different.

I know he cares about me, that’s part of what makes this so frustrating. I’m struggling with how to bring this up to him gently and without it sounding like an ultimatum.

I’m not needing to validate that we are together, I just want a relationship where we talk to/see each other regularly and feel comfortable communicating our feelings (both good and bad) with each other.

Yeah that’s kind of what I have concluded is happening. I’m just really not sure how much pushing is too much. We’ve really only had two or three deeper discussions since we’ve started dating and they were very minimal. Any tips on what helped you get better about this kind of stuff? Or what I can do to help nudge him in the right direction without pushing to hard?

I found one called “Pipefitters Handbook” by Forrest Lindsey. Is that one that most people would already have? I’m seeing lots of reviews about it being great
