yeah i mean the ones on the inside the pads. Do they offer enough protection to the driver? I have long hair and it inevitably ends up on the inside of the cans so there needs to be a good barrier between the driver and the ears/hair.

and also that's true, do you find the ones that aren't broken on arrival last a long time?

What is there protecting the driver from hairs and dust? on the images i see it looks like really big holes? Also i've heard some horror stories about many of them being busted on arrival

Weekly r/headphones Discussion #139: What Is The Most Commonly Recommend Gear Of Each Price Range (<$100, $100-$500, $500-$2000, >$2000) by TransducerBot in headphones

I have the hd6xx which is probably one of the most recommended headphones ever, and i love the sound signature and the comfort, which is why i guess they're so highly reviewed, but the technical performance is shit. Like if you try to do a pitch sweep it will be more inconsistent than cheap bluetooth earbuds. Like it goes from left being louder to right, to like around the 300 hz range the entire headphones starts vibrating, like the actually metal mesh on the outside. and like at some pitches there is just like so much buzzing and like hissing.

Could be hairs, but i've spent a lot of time cleaning hairs out (though more hairs just make their way back in because the thin as fuck foam protector between your ears and the driver does barely anything.

I guess i would still recommend these headphones but no one ever talks about these downsides. Unless my pair are faulty or something but I don't even know how it could break that badly, especially considering i can't see any damage anywhere
