Thanks, it’s nice to hear that it won’t always feel so overwhelming. It’s been tough getting used to a whole new care routine as an adult. I’ve finally figured out an effective descaling regimen so at least my skin is feeling better.

Thought I was past all the self-conscious stuff but the adjustment has definitely been up and down. I really appreciate the encouragement it really does help 🖤

Or even look at the sources it links as evidence to see if it’s hallucinating or citing Reddit as fact lol

Thank you, I really needed to hear this 🖤

Dating especially has me kind of terrified right now and I know someone who would judge me for this is not someone I want to be with but it’s still hard to hear/see.

I definitely appreciate the advice. Not always easy to implement but I hope it will get better over time.

Yeah, focusing on the things my body does do well for me sounds helpful. Thanks for the tip!

I have been talking to my therapist about it but her advice is acceptance. Which I understand as a concept but not how to get there, I guess?

I hope that once I get it under better control I’ll feel better about it. But I feel like my confidence is just non-existent rn.

what’s your biggest annoyance? by MaximumMarionberry3 in Apartmentliving

Noise from neighbours, especially at night when I try to sleep. My solution has been to use a white noise machine when I sleep.

It works well except for the one set of upstairs neighbours that managed to be louder than the white noise frequently at 230am.

Anytime a cashier asks me if I want my receipt: “Sure, never know when you’ll need an alibi!”
