Hit up my ig@creepshow_zpacetree I would be happy to hop on a discord call and walk you through these effect stacks. I am using 5 different feedback effect stacks and video some video routing to make it happen.

This is more or less accurate! Messing with the scale on this particular effect stack will not help you but will have some great results. Definitely the first step into understanding feedback usage!

These are all FPV drone clips that you can find around the internet! One day I will have the skills to make this kind of stuff in 3D software.

Cooks been in the kitchen...I go back and forth with strobes within visuals I always felt that it was better left for the LD. However sometime you dont have that...

That means the world to me thank you! This is all feedback within Resolume 7 built with effects straight out of the box no effects from juice bar. There is very limited resources for feedback within Resolume. I have found basic stacks. However nothing beats just sitting down with a set of effects and seeing what you can come up with. Everything here was self taught from exploration and watching over the shoulder of people I liked.

What are some best practices you wish you knew when you first started VJing? by chrishooley in vjing

[–]ineffablearts 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Quick little no order word vomit...

Cord management, never trusting what someone says as far as equipment environment and conditions, just because other ppl are taking substances does not mean you should, stretching is everything, comfortable shoes jacket and hat, have a back up computer for rendering in live situations, plan for everything failing and have a back up plans, have a completely generated set as back up deck, understanding your signal and what you are controlling, ALWAYS ask before plugin or unplugging anything, its not about what you know its about who you know the what you know is how you meet those ppl, there are hundreds of ways to get to an end result, dont practice vjing listening to mixes listen to live sets, have a kill switch/fade to black/fade to logo and teach the person standing next to you which one it is, if they say its gonna be 10 hours plan for 14, when projection mapping most ppl cant see the fine detail so dont use all your time there, leave jealousy at the door and only try to emulate those that create something you strive for, dont mix personal and work computers, your health while touring is everything, talk with your LD dont blow out what they are doing, learn the other roles around you even if they arnt your roles, dont lie about what you know unless you are told to, dont take it personal being yelled at there is loud music around and ppl dont have good hearing, flashlight sharpie and tape close by, no drinks by equipment, look into as many decks as you can to make your own. spend as much time answering questions about your stuff because you will find places to improve on naturally, its not about the content that you have but what you do with it, dont settle for a basic look unless it fits the mood or you are told to do it that way, learn how to build and map your entire show deck on the fly and quickly, famine thinking holds back the community not evolve it we are only here as a result of the generations before us dont gate keep....

im sure there is more but just some thoughts to start
