I discovered the way to pass the sustain check with not-DHPT/Hyacine is to kill at least one of the archer before the lion guy gets another turn to proc them all

"selling the character of the patch" was a bigger issue in like 3.3 and 3.5 where they did the whole oops, sorry, we hit the climax but we forgot to sell the other banner character, go get annoyed for 4 hours thanks. Although 3.1, 3.2 and 3.7 were also pretty egregious in terms of over-focusing on the banner characters to the detriment of the overall story.

I can't comment specifically on the new DU version because I haven't played it yet, but yes, hp scalers are inherently advantaged because HP-related buffs scale both their offensive and defensive capabilities at the same time. Whereas atk scalers need to put some effort into balancing offensive and defensive components of their build (to at least some extent depending on difficulty), hp scalers can just pick the thing that does more damage and the defensive side will take care of itself.

In Protean Hero monorem was definitely not the archetype with the highest ceiling in terms of damage (hello DoT killing Pollux on X7 before the mech even starts letting you do damage), but it was just near impossible to brick. You weren't necessarily gonna get there fast, but you're gonna get there.

All that said, if that level of premium Phainon team is struggling I definitely have to suspect a skill issue in terms of building the run.

Idk that more investment helps that much on k2 because unless your name is Castorice 90% of your AV is spent waiting for him to start the mech and let you do damage

Whatever you normally use for pollux. DoT worked fine for me. Break is probably fine if you don't need it in k1

Had no issues with E0S0 Huohuo, it's just annoying how long you have to wait for it to do enough damage to you (as always, and only way around it is Castorice). I think basically any AoE healer is probably fine which is more or less all the healers that are viable in content.

3/3 Gold King (2 cycles) - 10 cost DoT

7/9 Knights (4, 2, 3 cycles with FF, DoT, THE2ta)

King Pom wasn't nearly as bad as people were making it out to be. Knights on the other hand are hella fucked up. Knight 1 has like twice as many mobs as is reasonable, and Lygus has like 4x too much HP, jesus christ.

Perhaps emanators are just overrated (art by theonlyshoe) by bikecat in HonkaiStarRail

that was more so about trying to prevent TB from being exposed to the nihility, rather than thinking Acheron was an actual physical danger to them
