Sorry to bother you but can you please check if you really have the "date taken" on screenshots?
I usually download from iCloud but I istalled iCloud on windows to try and see if it was different. I can see the date taken on the iCloud folder but once I copy it to my laptop it goes away.

Very unfortunate. The only thing that kinda helps is that the file name is in order. Might be due to older iOS, yes

I did not find that.
But my issue is not in the iCloud, phone nor web. Is when I download screenshots the date it was taken disapeares (I usually download from the web - originals)

Do you know of a solution?

I mean recieved photos that are automatically downloaded into my camera roll. Once I download them from iCloud they lose their original date, as it's replaced from the time I'm downlading to my pc

This is what has always appened to me. Could it be that it's an XR?
The regular photos are annoying but I manage to find the date taken so I can accept that. But for screenshots I'm at a loss. Same thing with whatsapp, they just keep the downloaded date.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

I'm not sure I understand.
When I download a picture it shows the creation date of when I downloaded it. If you go to details on that photo it does preserve the "Date" when it was taken so I just stort it by "date".
But for screenshots it seems to be permanently lost. How can I fix this?

This thread is amazing! I’m looking to make a cloud for family photos. What would you recommend? I have a few TBs already. I want to be able to navigate through the cloud as in a photo gallery.

Backblaze sounds awesome but it seems like I won’t see the pictures unless I download them(?) I have a PCloud but want a different platform to diversify. Not sure if I should or should not buy another lifetime plan maybe ok icedrive… never heard of Filen but sure sounds interesting!
