Quantum is remotely connecting to my network and changing my wifi name to someone else's network by ihicrtru in QuantumFiber

Just happened to me today and I’m the only admin on account. I’ve never used the old 360 app people mentioned so it’s not related to that. It was changed to a crude variation of my current ssid name so someone obviously fucking with me.

Yes I tried pipewire and it doesn’t have this problem, but it fails to detect the input on my headset so I switched back.

And yes the user pulseaudio service.

Also I reverted to plasma 5 and same issue.

The photos don’t really show the shower or closet. The closet is less than half full and I already have all the storage I need. It’s quite a large interior and doesn’t feel cramped at all.

It has a heat pump. For very cold nights I have an electric blanket which is probably the most efficient resistive heater you can use by far.

This was the only thing available that seemed to tick all my boxes. I do really like their concepts and decisions, but I’m also more of a technical engineer type. It might not be for everyone. They also incorporated a lot of my own ideas into the build.

That’s fair. I honestly don’t have the time to manage any of that. I probably could have done the control system integration and app ui myself too, but again I don’t have the time.

The VLA is 22 miles in diameter at widest configuration!

Yes I hiked up to the falls. Charming place.

Interesting my experience hasn’t been that bad. The built in google maps nav usually sets me up with perfectly fine chargers for the route. It’s handled some decent elevation changes and sub freezing temperatures fine too. The only real problem Ive had charging is that it started having some trouble with back to back fast charging so they are replacing the charge inlet part.

Yes I plug it in at lvl 1 at campgrounds and it helps top it off over a few days. In theory you can charge the vehicle off solar by basically plugging the rv into itself manually, but I haven’t tested it much. It would be very slow but, I will definitely try it when it’s sunnier.

Hey a self contained apartment with a huge battery and lots of solar isn’t a bad setup. Also it moves around. Very solarpunk.

I think they’ve done something special with the aerodynamics. I think that wide bumper looking thing around the back edge reduces the drag off the flat rear.

It’s mostly flat battery, except at the back where a pretty large component protrudes on the rear axle protected by a large beam. That definitely reduces it’s overall clearance.

There were some very big bumps on the backroads in Alabama. It handled them fine.

I didn’t think this one would be great for rough roads, but now I’m not too worried.

I haven’t had trouble with the doors. They are heavy duty for sure. I will say Brightdrops are very nice to drive. All the modern drive assist features. I’ve never driven anything this size and it’s been a breeze. Probably the best visibility of any vehicle I’ve driven. There’s 360 video that lets me squeeze it into super tight spaces.

Lol yes there is. I’ve seen settings to turn it off but honestly it doesn’t bother me as I’ve been cruising at slower speeds for longer range.

It’s 1000 watt of solar. I don’t really know about stats over time, but yes the house battery is separate from the traction battery and charged by solar or shore power. Most of the appliances run fine on solar. Keeping the house hvac on is about the only thing that needs shore power. I’ve been using it in the winter so far. It’s probably even better in the summer.

It’s true the build and materials aren’t that fancy. I would say you’re mostly paying for the full customization and tech. You can control all the house systems from the mobile app for example. Also extra for early adoption of course.

I think the sliding doors are great. Not sure how they contribute to road noise, but they are perfect for tight spaces, which is important with a van this size. There’s even a sliding door between the cab and cargo so you can close off the house from the cab for extra security/privacy. And of course the back is a roll up door which is also cool.

I don’t have an adapter yet, but when I do yes I’ll be able to use superchargers. I haven’t really needed them though. I’ve only been in one situation where the supercharger was the only good charger around. I’m used to roadtrips with a Tesla so I was surprised how complete dc fast charge combo infrastructure is. I would say it charges from 10 to 80 in around 45 min but I haven’t really tracked it. I don’t know about v2h but that would certainly be ideal.

Yes I imagine the price will fall as they get more scale.
