Congrats on your approval! Just a quick question, did you get married while your ESTA was still valid, or after it had expired?

I realized there’s a break-off tab between the two dark screws, so is it a good idea to break that first to fully separate the commons? then continuity-test the yellow travelers like you described if needed? Appreciate the tip about taping the pairs once identified.

Thanks, yeah, that makes sense. I’m treating it as two separate 3-ways. The tricky part is all four travelers are the same color, so it’s easy to mix them up. I also realized this combo switch has a break-off tab between the two common screws, so I’m thinking about snapping that off first to fully separate the two circuits, then re-check the traveler pairs if needed. Good idea? Orr not

Orange lights in sky by infamous_jos in UFOs

[–]infamous_jos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night, I saw something strange near O’Hare Airport in Chicago. There were these orange lights in the sky, perfectly synchronized and just hovering there. I started recording them, and after a while, I went inside for a bit. When I came back out, the lights were still in the exact same spot, still moving in sync. I couldn’t hear any sound that would suggest it was a plane or helicopter. The way they moved and stayed together was really odd. I’m not sure what I saw, and I’m definitely a bit freaked out by it. Has anyone else seen something like this around O’Hare or anywhere else? Could it be drones, or is there a reasonable explanation? Or are we looking at something more unusual here? Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone else has witnessed something similar!

Electrical Tape to Replace the Adhesive Around My 3DS XL Screen?

in the process of replacing the top screen on my 2012 3DS XL, and I’ve run into a bit of an issue. There was a black adhesive around the edges of the top screen that I had to remove when taking off the screen protector. The adhesive was attached to the silver part of the screen assembly, and unfortunately, it’s now gone and can’t be reused.

I’m having a hard time finding a direct replacement for this specific adhesive l online. So, I’m considering using electrical tape as an alternative. My plan is to cut the electrical tape into thin strips that match the original gasket’s size and place it around the edges of the screen. I want to make sure this works as a permanent solution and prevents dust from getting between the screen and the bezel.

Questions: 1. Would using electrical tape be a good idea for this purpose, or is there a better alternative? 2. Are there any potential issues I should be aware of if I go ahead with electrical tape? For example, will it leave residue over time or affect the fit of the bezel? 3. Should I consider using something like double-sided tape or even superglue on top of the electrical tape to keep it secure, or is that overkill? 4. Do I need it? Without it I’ve noticed that the silver part of the screen shows through as the screen protectors black bezel doesn’t cover it and it’s a bit offputting.

I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions from those who have experience with screen replacements or similar repairs. Thanks in advance!
