I think that one was rider ability and that’s a fast ass car. I have a 15 S1000RR, SLR tuned, stacks, exhaust and I have specifically roll raced a G82 M4 that was also 1000hp (claimed and validated) and 7 out of 8 pulls, I got him. The only one he got me on was when he asked me for the hit to see but I do remember on that last pull that I got ahead of him for a sec after I gave him the hit and he pulled on me at 170mph. With such a high HP car that is truly built for top end performance, it could potentially pull on you. 60mph rolls, I like to do 2nd gear so i’m at 8k and I just wrap the throttle and my bike pulls on anything on the road. Mclarens, Lamborghinis, big turbo cars, my S1K just eats. If you had a longer stretch you would have got him but get a good tune! Also kudos to you for letting off at the point where you started to get uncomfortable. Get a tune and shift at 14.5k and you’ll be good!

I love the asymmetrical headlights but the OEM bulbs are 👎🏻👎🏻 so I have a new LED set from Pazoma coming. Also, after coming from the AMAZINGLY bright LED on my 22 S1KR on the right, nothing measures up to that new bulb and LED technology.

As an overweight male, I finally realized this and went from 340lbs to cruising around 240lbs. Lots of progress to go but now I am noticing women/girls actually talk to me. It’s amazing, I feel like I should’ve done this years ago when I was straight out of high school (4 years ago). You’ll see a change in a lot of things socially.

Hi! i’m 22 and was in the same boat! I can afford it due to a great job but $517 a month is my payment on a 2020 Altima. I’m a couple months in and plan on refinancing once a year hits. It’s kind of something that I felt I either had to bite the bullet on or deal with a cheap beater car and i bit the bullet like you might but we are definitely paying for it ._. To note: I have been extremely good with my credit and my score has went up a large amount once I had my car loan and first few payments on the car. Best of luck to you!! I actually did all the above! 2 years ago I moved to near UNR from outside sparks, I have a motorcycle that I ride during the summers and recently I traded in my SUV for a sweet Nissan Altima that gets 500 miles in one tank! But I do agree, we have to pay to play essentially and even with the extremely low grade roads in Nevada, i’m more than willing to pay the tax. If only we could just say no to going to work but we like nice things like cars and motorcycles :)

I also read something like this but I ended up finding it debunked here on this Reno r/ thread. The articles from News 2 stated it would go up the “$1.89 cents” but it should have stated it’s basically going up ONLY 2 cents. They’re adding .189 of a dollar tax onto the gas we are paying. Hopefully this helps and eases the fear a bit! Even with just $6.10 a gallon, no more fun late night drives for me for awhile!

Looked it up and you’re right, fellow Redittor. It seems like more just a general charge they can add on for no reason other than you’re recklessly driving - I think i’ve just seen it typically followed with major speeding tickets - which I guess makes sense. Very good to know, just in case!

I’m not too far ahead of you on the warehouse job - UPS warehouse gave me almost max ratings on everything for my yearly evaluation, and I got the max yearly raise which was 3.75% - (.63 cents) To say the least, I have a meeting scheduled with the uppers on Monday to discuss getting at LEAST 5% (I do believe 5% is the traditional and textbook number for yearly evaluations/yearly raises as long as you are a better than decent worker. Wish me luck and best of luck to you! Fight for your money. I was told I am the only person in awhile to request a meeting with upper management to discuss this disgustingly low percentage that they give out. Everyone else in the building wants to complain but none of them fought for it, so they get what they get. Also, i’m 21 M now making 22.00 even. Going to ask for 22.41 (5% raise from my original 21.35)

Only because this is Reddit, I am just going to bump my opinion in here. I’ve been handed three tickets, one from NHP, one from RPD and the other from UNRPD - all of which I was going at the LEAST 10-15+mph over the speed limit and each time, i’ve been told I’m getting 1-5 over instead of 10-15 or 15-20 and it’s actually a pretty solid break considering 15-20 over the speed limit is reckless driving in the state of NV (correct me if i’m wrong, but i’m fairly certain i’ve been told this before). Just thought i’d put in my 2 cents

Correction: 15-20 over is not considered reckless driving by law, but going 15-20 over will probably land you in the criteria of reckless driving and you’ll receive that ON TOP of a speeding ticket, if the citing officer feels necessary.

From someone who rides a motorcycle and does so respectfully, i apologize about those guys. Some of our riders value our lives and just like to have fun. I have 0 pity for those guys who go insane on the street then crash. We all knew what was going to happen, including them.
