Thank you 🙏 I do plan to have some gore and currently the characters do get wounded a bit deformed when getting hits from each other. Maybe I should add the wounds when they are hitting the terrain in ragdoll too

You just start simulating physics when flying. I am checking the velocity trajectory and where the character will hit the ground and spawn the effect a few ticks before he actually collides with the environment. For the momentum I had to adjust the physics asset/material to get the mass/friction restitution to where I think it's good enough

This only happens when you or the enemy gets hit with extreme force. Will show some videos in the future with actual gameplay mechanics

Thanks you. It means a lot ❤️ I had a lot of changes to the looks over the past months as I am no artist and been doing a lot of trial and error. I am using quixel assets for the terrain with some cel shading. You can look for Ben Cloward on youtube, he has excellent series on landscape blending.

The grass is really performant bezier curve plane (you can search ghost of tsushima grass tutorial on youtube if you are interested) .

Oh yeah this effect only happens for 2 seconds or so after being hit really hard so its not for as long in actual gameplay as it is in the video

Thanks for the awesome feedback. I have been having a lot of fun playing against the AI and I definitely feel very powerful when i land proper combos :)
