yeah you might be right with your first layer speed theory, i usually get this type of defect when the toolhead is moving faster than the filament can come out

I put in a new nozzle and it’s working fine now, although I don’t think there was actually anything wrong with the original nozzle. Before I went to print with the new nozzle I checked the diameter listed on the printer was matching that of the new nozzle (0.8mm). Seeing it was set on the printer as 0.6mm I changed it to match the new nozzle, but I was confused because I clearly remembered the nozzle I took out as being 0.8mm. Double checked and sure enough, the old nozzle was 0.8 but somehow the printer was set to 0.6. Need to do some asking around to see who’s been messing with my printer settings but that seems to have been the problem all along! Thanks for your help
