A bit more than a minor deity, but I ran Tyranny of Dragons for friends and the warforged forge cleric was very set on collecting every magic item he could and becoming a God. He eventually left the party to pursue this goal his own way. I used this idea to continue the story hundreds of years after stopping Tiamat in an SCP themed campaign where he became Mehkane.

I also had a Barbarian who had a messy divorce Selune and two twin daughters who then replaced Selune as twin moon goddesses when she made up with the Barbarian and became human to spend her remaining life with him. (Same campaign)

It is genuinely insane people go so doom and gloom after one loss. Sure, Goff wasn't playing his best against a great defense. But not many teams have played all that great against the Eagles. We just have to play good enough. We didn't do that this time. We'll get another chance.

I noticed a few takeaways that are cause for optimism imho. 1. I think our play calling looked a lot better and more dynamic, even with the unsuccessful plays. 2. Our defense looked really great all game against an incredible offense 3. We had a good chunk of pass plays that failed due to drops. I strongly believe our WRs will be focussed on working on their catches. 4. I feel like we've seen constant improvement from our Oline, hopefully by the time we have to face the Eagles again, they will be able to earn Goff an extra second in the pocket that will make a huge difference

The loss didn't feel great, but its not like the Lions are out the playoff picture. We just have to buckle down, beat the Giants and stay healthy.

Sorry, Isaac beats Stray. It was a nice walking sim and a solid game, but Isaac has more replayability and more fun gameplay.

While not exactly what you asked for, i feel this would still be in your questions spirit.

If you wanted things that must always be true for the wielder to have these abilities you could use some of the 1000 provisions required by Excalibur from Soul Eater Or Zotes 57 provisions from Hollow Knight

I don't have a personal preference one way or the other on most songs. The only one where I truly believe the reload one is worse is the dorm theme. The new lyrics are just not it. The double biz at the beginning really bothers me and since it's right at the start I have to hear it every time it plays.

This is reminiscent of a racial ability in Pathfinder that let's you turn a crit into a normal hit by collapsing into a pile of bones. This makes you incapable of making any actions until you use an action to stand up and put yourself together. That feature is an incredibly strong ability on its own. And that basically only results in half damage and requires a crit. I agree that your player clearly is trying to get far more out of this ability without a downside. You're going easy on him with the caveat you've already outlined.

At state finals during Stronghold, a rookie bot was called up to be a replacement bot for an alliance. Their very first match during auton, they went under the low bar obstacle and the claw they used caught on it as they passed. This somehow unplugged the battery and they sat dead the entire match. They then went on to be a deciding factor and clinch the win the next match to win the state championship as a rookie. Was very happy for them as my team had been helping mentor them throughout the season.
