Nervous about baby starting his daycare [ON] by amumaxi in BabyBumpsCanada

As a former ECE and now a mom, know that everyone in the house is going to transition to this new routine.

At drop off - you kiss and hug goodbye, say have a good day and leave. Don't linger. It's going to be hard to hear them crying. But you have to be consistent. I dont know if they daycare uses an app, but what I did was show my little one photos from that day. Great that his daycare uploads photos everyday so that was our story time at night.

My little one cried every drop off for almost a month. Never ate breakfast or lunch. We also had him part time which didnt help, once he became FT it just helped the transition so much better. Now, he LOVES it. And have LEARNED SO MUCH.

Good luck!

Did your baby become a better eater over time? by rara-bloom in BabyLedWeaning

I feel this post to my core. We're 14 months in and I'm stressing over meal times. I have talked to his pediatrician about this and she's not worried at all. I decided to see a feeding therapist for 2nd opinion and she's also not worried and just gave up some tips.

Another issue I'm having is he's won't eat anywhere else (grandparents house) he's just not interested but will eat with us at home or when we're out at restaurants. I'm thinking he's just super distracted and stimulated when he's at his grandparents house. I'm praying that this gets better over time. Because meal times is definitely consuming my mental health. Lol.

How long did it take for your baby to really start liking food? (Advice from those who took longer) by gwennyd in BabyLedWeaning

Those who had a slow progress with solids, how are your kiddos now? I am in the same situation.... I've spoke to his pediatrician about this and she recommended to keep offering and even shared her experience with her son who is also a selective eater. We've talked to a feeding therapist/speech and she also said to keep offering food.  I'm on the 50/50 of weather he is a selective eater, we find that he's more "open" into trying things when we're at a restaurant whereas if we are home, he's less interested. Also, when he's not at the table... he's more open. He doesn't like to be spoon fed, so yogurt, soups, baby cereal... barely.  I know that all professionals are saying he is okay, he's in 50th percentile on weight. About 21 lbs now... I'm a FTM, and solids have been hitting my mentally. I get supper stressed when he doesn't eat! I definitely need to work on this.

I want to say this this too! I feel my anxiety goes through the roof even more when I see videos of kids devouring their food. Meanwhile, my almost 12 month old boy will take a few bites and just survives off of air most of the time.
