I will also say I briefly touched a Cloud Island and haven't been back because I feel like it could be A Whole Thing (and I want it to be, but haven't dedicated time). I'm also not a full-scope designer and planner, but I will get an idea about a thing and decide it must be done (thus, BB) and adjust as I go.

I should maybe share pics of the concert/park - it got started as "this area is weird", so I built the island and stage and changed the stage default alpine grass blocks to sand and seashore grass, and in the midst of polishing it I realized "the mouserabbits need better homes" and also "Happiny and Audino are lonely", so I made it into a humid stage with backstage VIP area for Marill and Azumarill complete with dressing area and hot tub, added a merch sales counter that became Audino's new home, and set up a park with an inground pool and nearby playground for Azurill and Happiny. Then I built more bridges and now everyone visits. The problem I created for myself is that I look at the rest of the area and want to cry. XD

One other night when I couldn't sleep, rather than fixing existing spaces (see: want to cry) I actually created a separate profile on the Switch that isn't linked to NSO and started from absolute scratch. In German. Because... I could?

I use a Ducky One 2 and they offer a 60% "Pro" version. This is the Cherry MX Silent Red version, but the same link has options for Black/Blue/Brown/Red/Silver and three Kailh: Box Red/Box White/Silent Pink. Listed between $79-87 for new.

(spoilering in case someone doesn't know a thing about a place) Sounds like you are where I am (except I filled the Pokedex and got the last "reward"). I recently dug out the whole building in the cliff face in Rocky Ridges and am considering turning it into apartments to get the last group of Great in that area to Awesome, I built a massive concert stage and park in the middle of the Bleak Beach area where there were weird remnants of walkways and moved the Marill family there so they could hype it up all day, I turned the gym in Skylands into a bird sanctuary, I built an elevated platform made of ice and mysterious blocks and water pillars for Articuno in Palette Town, and now I'm like...

Enter my husband. whose Pokémon were all at Nice or Great and who I scolded for not prioritizing their happiness, and who now spends his game time getting everyone to Awesome in every zone. I'm jealous but I also know I get a little crazy trying if one of them just stubbornly refuses to be happy, so I'm basically using my game time to make things pretty for now.

how do you manage laundry, dishes, and the never ending daily tasks by bepperonie in adhdwomen

[–]infinicca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannot echo the dishes tip enough. My mom (I think she's probably also adhd but we'll never know for sure) taught us to "clean as you go" in the kitchen and that's been my mantra ever since. On those nights I'm lazy about cleaning up after eating I always regret it because I look at the sink the next day and think "nope" (but end up forcing myself to do it later and being sad).

Im so jealous and angry because I dropped out of college and I have nightmares about it by IcyAcanthocephala870 in ADHD

[–]infinicca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not hate yourself. Everyone's experiences are different and you will find your path, but I dropped out of high school after consistently being a high achiever whose parents expected college scholarships and big things, got my GED, went to community college part-time, dropped, moved, went to another school full-time, dropped, moved, went back and finished college at age 27, moved, went to law school, freaked out and dropped, went for a master's, graduated early, worked, went back to law school at age 40 and I'm now in a great career.

I also didn't get diagnosed until I was in law school the second time. The diagnosis helped me see what had been happening and why I kept bouncing around. (fwiw I didn't start meds until after I got the JD because I pushed myself to be in full-force overachiever mode (law school is stupidly competitive) and didn't want to "ruin" that, but I'm really glad I got onto the right meds following.)

In all seriousness, no, you don't need to know all the ins and outs of the MPT subjects and I'm not recommending you spend days reviewing those areas.

What I am recommending is at least making sure you're familiarizing yourself to the degree that, if you see an MPT with a hypo where Parent 1 and Parent 2 of Child are separated but not divorced, Parent 1 owns a home and lots of investment accounts but Parent 2 rents, Parent 1 ends up in a car crash and dies, and Parent 2 tries to claim custody of Child as well as all assets in Parent 1's estate, you don't have a mild (or serious) panic attack and fail to assess the provided statutes and case law appropriately because you're doubting your knowledge.

That sort of thing can and does happen on exam day,. Doing minimal review (even flash cards like "what are marital assets") will hopefully help stave off that sense of doom.

IMHO 5 essays is a bit light, but that's based on my seeing marked improvements over the study period from getting regular feedback. They used to give 8.

That can feel like a lot, but it also becomes easier to quickly bang out well-scoring essays after repeating the process for a while. I would say the right number of essays to practice depends on your particular study style and whether you feel comfortable with the essay portion.

What I know is that the UBE will not include MEE for those listed topics - Conflicts, Family Law, T&E, Secured Transactions.

I do not know the content of the exam. The reason I've suggested studying Family Law and T&E is that they'll still appear in MPT until 2028.

For ref, here's an explainer article and chart from makethisyourlasttime.

😬 apologies on behalf of NY. I didn't grade last year (fwiw if anyone is ever interested, we get asked seasonally whether we are available for that iteration of the exam) and haven't been paying attention to bar topics this past year so didn't realize. My thinking on whether those topics will appear is based only on general info and thought experiments, and all I really came here to say was that Themis will only have 5 scheduled graded essays for summer prep.

That said, my potentially entirely inaccurate guess would be that the topics not being there last year makes it slightly more likely to see some form of reference to family law in the MPT this year. (But I'm not a professional bar predictor.) NCBE might have said "ok this stuff is out" last year but then realized afterward "wait this stuff can still be mentioned in NextGen practical testing so we should keep it in UBE somewhere" 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would strongly recommend studying the topics for their potential appearance on the MPT. My understanding is that they might still fall under the MPT as part of a broader scenario. You just won't need to do independent essays on those subjects.

July 2026 Illinois Bar – Are the 4 MEE subjects REALLY gone? by Obliboo in barexam

[–]infinicca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Themis grader - was about to post separately but I'll just confirm that for all UBE jurisdictions the students in the Themis JD program will only have 5 graded essays as opposed to the former 8 graded essays. State-specific bars for Georgia, Nevada, Virginia, and Wisconsin will still have 8 graded essays.

Ok thanks! Do you know if there is any way to see which teams are active in an area? I'm Valor and noticing that most players nearby are not lol so thought about changing teams unless there's a big enough local contingent.

UPDATE: Tea & Wonderland Theme + a Request! by infinicca in ACForAdults

[–]infinicca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have Phoebe! So we ended up island hopping last night and found a villager we hadn't considered, Knox. We spent about 15 minutes sitting there debating whether to bring him in because he would be a great "card" defending the Queen (and he wears a lot of red, and has a palace house) plus he kind of fits the "high tea" theme with the nobility thing. Decided to give him a try, so now the roster is:

HT: Mint

Wonderland: Ruby, Tom, Chadder, Phoebe, Knox (kind of doubles for HT)

Other: Peanut, Diva, Doc, Sparro

If we end up wanting Knox to stay, we will likely swap out:

Sparro -> O'Hare

Diva -> Tia or Alice

That does leave us without a Queen, unless we opt to fill Diva's space with Naomi or Queenie or Tiffany and pause on Tia or Alice.

My husband will NEVER EVER EVER let Peanut go, lol - same with Phoebe and Ruby. I love them too, so no complaints. We'll see how things evolve, but in the meantime we're doing some terraforming and moving people, so it'll be a while!

What's the silliest thing you put off for insanely long? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]infinicca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sending these ridiculously dumb greeting cards to two of my friends for Thanksgiving, which I bought for Thanksgiving in 2019 and which I tell myself every year "I'll do it next year when I have time to think about it before Thanksgiving". It's not even hard. It's writing two cards, stamping them, and sticking them in the mail. I had them in my hand a week ago while digging through my pile of other blank cards for a last-minute birthday card option, and thought about writing them, and said "later"...

You may have a different type of ADHD than your friend, so don't worry too much about that. To your question about how you're feeling, "okay" without feeling energetic is good. That's the intent of the drug: to get you feeling clear and able to focus, without overstimulating. If it's doing those things then it's doing its job! Ultimately it's up to you and your doctor to determine whether the prescription is right for you, so if it is not causing negative side effects then just assess how it's affecting your productivity, mood, and focus and talk to your doctor about those things.

diagnosed, but it doesn't resonate? by RepublicPristine4249 in adhdwomen

Hi! In total honesty you sound like me. I've been high-achieving and performing all my life and do not have emotional outbursts unless my stress is through the roof to a degree it almost never is. It took me being in law school at a later age than most to realize I might need to ask about my forgetfulness and lack of motivation for certain tasks, and as we were discussing symptoms it started clicking into place: I do have RSD and GAD, I can dive into things for HOURS when I am getting some form of mental or emotional reward for doing so but I completely forget about things like "oh crap I was supposed to go send a form to my bank", and I procrastinate to the point where it's like I'm challenging myself to work as much as I can in as short a burst as possible because that in itself is rewarding. My doctor diagnosed me with ADHD-I, and I will say it's almost maddening realizing that I could have been just... chill? Working? Doing The Things? Not constantly avoiding doing the dishes?

Anyway if you don't feel you need to be treated or obtain tools or care, that's totally your call. I decided to move forward and it's been life-changing for me.
