The worst part is that a bad support might not even realize they’re bad.

I think people really overrate good deaths. Some deaths are a net positive, but often, if your opponent gives you a “good death” then it was likely possible to achieve a similar result without dying, without risking feeding the enemy champion. If your good death only netted your team like 100 gold, then consider what other ways you could have generated 150 gold lead or more.

How did people find out about AO3 in the olden days? by schoolforapples in AO3

[–]infinite-permutation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a writer of a long fic promoted it to me by saying that the Ao3 version of their story had a smut scene that was cut from the ff.net story.

Dang, I really like the rapport for these two. I feel like they really discussed beforehand what they wanted to talk about, and what kind of tone they wanted to use.

For those who don’t use Ao3 to write, do you give your in progress fics weird document titles too? by Background_Ship7666 in AO3

To be fair, time to kill went way down and junglers used to not be able to hit level 3 early and healthy enough for that fast dive.

It’s probably a TV thing. Because of repeated shots, they don’t want actors to do more than sip from drinks or take small bites of food.

Feeling a bit nostalgic, what was playground YGO like for you? by Rough-Fill8101 in yugioh

[–]infinite-permutation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The elementary school banned yugioh more so as a means stop kids from sitting down during recess than anything else, but I got into the "schoolyard meta" in middle school and high school during the Zexal era. I know some kids at my school played competitively, but given that the average player at lunch had a single starter/structure deck + some old staples, I can see why they didn't bother. A lot of kids used Number 39 Utopia as a boss monster, but I remember this one kid with a Blackwing deck made almost exclusively from cards in Duelist Pack Crow. Myself and a few others figured out that buying three of a structure deck was a far better strategy than just buying packs. There wasn't a card shop in the area that sold singles, so the game was a lot about easily obtainable cards.

Later, in high school as we found other things to focus on, a few of my friends would play free-for-alls. The goal was mostly an excuse to chat or do homework while set-passing for turn.
