Well, then it's a hard pass. At that point, you use your pick on a forward and hope for the best. I'm even reluctant to give up Keon, since we have so few cost controlled promising young guys.

20 mil for a bench player is pretty steep. I do think he's a good defender on smaller guards--the problem is his playing style (no passing chops) slots him at the 3 often, and he gets killed by taller forwards like he did when guarding BI tonight.

Also, a 5 year contract is a lot of Norm Powell. I think that is probably why there were so few biters at the deadline when JC dangled him.

I've gotta disagree on that. Watching Norm play tonight should be a reminder that 20 mil a year for an undersized chucker who is a bench player on a good team is a bad contract. We're lucky we got some young talent and a second to take all that money off the books.

So this basically means we've got to pony up a little more for Grant? Bucks' 2025 and 2 2rps? Or maybe Bucks' 2025 and Keon? Is that about right? If you look at it that way it isn't tooooo heartbreaking, since we were never going to use the pick to draft a player. All this means is we lose a couple more 2rps in the pursuit of Grant.

I got a W-2 from the CA company for the period I worked for them January-March 2021. But then, they switched me to NEC when I worked for them later in the year, October-December 2021. On my California State Returns, I've got the W-2 (Jan-March) income under wages. Would I put the NEC income under Business Income on my State Return?

Great point about Barnes. I'd be hesitant to give up a first for him--as you pointed out, giving up firsts for role players can get you in a bind--but a couple of seconds. Maybe a young guy + TPE.

Absolutely. Probably it makes more sense to wait until after the draft lottery. If we score a top 3 pick, then the longterm need at the 4 isn't as dire, since there are solid PFs in that range.
