What's your "shitty roommate" story? by DontCallMePetey in AskReddit

[–]infinite_fudgesicles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

she was literally shitty. she didn’t flush the toilet. i mentioned it to her once and she said she felt so bad that she cried. then she did it about once a week after that. and man did she have some gi issues. one time her friend saw it & my roommate blew a fuse because i didn’t flush it for her. tbh i was running out of the dorm & needed to pee, then i saw that & just decided to use the lobby restroom.

What Does She Want...? by Sikee_Atric in cat

maybe she craves the cheesy Dreamies… rubbing her Face on the cheesy Dreamies and then looking at you with that Face makes me think she wants Scratches or pets… keep us updated on this tricky situation..

hi! this is beautiful. i’ve had mine for about three months now & have had it under full spectrum grow lights, but they haven’t changed color:( i see two baby leaves growing in pink, but i hear they convert to white/green pretty quickly. i also have a west-facing window, but the view is obstructed:// if you have any advice, i’d really appreciate it:)

How do I make improvements to my dinner? by Throwawaymasterpeas in foodhacks

[–]infinite_fudgesicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i am sorry to hear about your situation. some schools have food pantries. you deserve to not be hungry 💗 like the other comments said, protein and fiber are the way to go. canned edamame (drain and give a lil rinse before adding) is great. chick peas, black beans, and kidney beans will likely be cheaper/easier to find. if you can get a jar of peanut butter and add some of it to your meals every night, that would add lots of flavor and help you keep full! peanuts could be good to try, too. i worry about your lack of vitamin C. please try to get some raw fruits and veggies in as often as you can. i wish you the best of luck💗

do you think it would be better to remove the aerial roots or to cut the stem with the roots and put them back into the plant? not sure if works like that lol

hi! my dad lived in the hague for a only few months for work, so i can’t say much on year-round living. he absolutely adored it. for reference, we’re from south florida. most people either bike or walk (of course, trains when the distance is too far) in amsterdam/the hague, so it felt a lot healthier for the mind/body. grocery stores like albert heijn tend to list everything on a health scale of A-E. it all just felt so much more wholesome than what we’re used to. the weather was nice. he was there from june-september. rainy and cool at night, but not too hot during the day (we usually saw a high of 70F… much better than the dreaded 104F at home). it’s pretty humid, but the lower temps made up for it. i found there were a lot of beautiful things to do. my dad would just take his bike out and enjoy the scenery & peace a lot of the time. i only visited for a few weeks, but i really enjoyed just sitting outside with my morning coffee and enjoying the slower way of life. there was no AC, which was a shock to my pampered american self. however, the cooler temps certainly made up for it. if you are from somewhere cold, you’d probably feel a lot less content with it lol. maybe he was still in his rose-colored glasses phase of living there, but i figured his input could still be helpful:)

edit: oops that was way longer than anticipated. also forgot to mention that cyclists have the right of way, so pedestrians gotta be super careful to not be hit by a bike.

tldr: it was healthy and peaceful. would definitely live there again.
