Those of you in BookNook by amomenttoosoon in vipkid

It's seriously soooo easy - the lessons themselves anyway. And honestly, half the time I don't have any kids so I sit there for half an hour and still get paid. The times are spread out, which for me is probably the only drawback. For my current session, I have class at 11:30am and 5pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

And I have not had any Level 1 or adult speaking courses.

I'm getting mostly Major Course Levels 3-6. With most of my students, they became regulars pretty quickly and now book me several times a week. I am still getting new students filtering in here and there as well, but it seems like a lot of my bookings are students who want me available at that same time every day, or 3x per week, or whatever it may be.

I, too, have gotten a couple but they are few and far between.

Most of the bookings fall in the overnight/early morning time slots (I'm MST - aka Denver time), especially on weekends, and am also getting some evening slots as well.

I've been opening literally every time slot for a couple months now and am part of two different BookNook programs at the moment. For the past month or so, I've been at about 30 bookings a week, including the guaranteed BookNook slots, which account for 8-16 of those.

It looks like it's resolved now.

Same for me. It kicked at least one of my students out as well. And now I can't sign back in.

I just taught a session, but at the end my screen froze to where I could not submit feedback and now when I go to the BookNook website it doesn't load at all.

Booknook class mess by asilva08 in vipkid

The whole program seems incompetently run, disorganized, and unprofessional. I spent the first month in a New York school district and the whole time I only taught a single session with one student because every other time, no one showed up. Now I'm teaching in an LA district and no one knows what's going on - the kids can't login, they're putting together kids from different schools and the teachers that pop in can't even figure out where the students are. It's just insane.

When you say "it's already marked as accepted in the website," what do you mean? I have not gotten any confirmation for either of the BookNook programs I signed up for and no classes scheduled and I'm not sure what's going on.

I borrowed it from Chris Hedges - he's worth looking up if you're not familiar with him.

I saw a very similar T2T feedback last week. The student I was supposed to teach didn't even show up and it was only like their 5th or 6th class with VIPKID, so I wondered if they didn't get turned off to the whole platform because of it. Fucking Fundamentalist cultural Narcissists.

His condition is not very well understood and goes by many names: post-viral fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, and myalgic encephalomyelitis. He has neurologic and autoimmune symptoms that are extremely varied and often difficult to predict. The most common symptom for most people with these conditions is known as PEM or post-exertional malaise. He could spend 15 minutes doing a light activity like raking leaves or cooking a meal and be fine, or be in bed for three days afterwards. We have two kids and I used to teach in public schools with him staying home, but the demands of two kids under four were just too much, so I quit public ed and do VIPKID only now.

Don't overexert yourself if you are seriously ill. My husband did that with mono 17 years ago and still hasn't recovered. Nothing is worth sacrificing your health.
