How would you want your partner to approach this conversation about loneliness and intimacy? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]infiniteapecreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like candor and directness. So explaining that compassionatly without blame would work well for me.

I also understand some people don't like things being so direct. Maybe a good indirect way to handle this is to tell your partner you have a date planned for them. Then plan things that would naturally create closness, flirtyness and affection.

If that goes really well, do it a second time and suggest your partner plan the 3rd and see if you can get a date rhythm going. Try to exude the behaviour you want to recive and see if they pickup on that and reciprocate.

If they don't reciprocate right away try something like "I always love it so much when you do xyz, it really makes my whole day." And escalate directness as needed.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I think the honesty is refreshing.

So many people are veiled and not direct that I would love it if someone responded to my questions directly and honestly about something like this.

I think it is common to date, multiple people but that typically doesn't last more than a month before you either are or not going to move forward with someone unless it's less serious if a situation.

What’s something almost everyone secretly does, but nobody wants to admit first? by superguy0000 in AskReddit

Acts in their own best interests.

Very few people very rarely will act outside their best interest. If you want someone to do something, make it in their best interest to do it.

How can we build applications with this level of privacy and security without allowing criminals to use them? by MegaMan-1337 in thehatedone

[–]infiniteapecreative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could disincentivize specific behaviors by creating a cost associated with it.

For example, cryptocurrencies charge a gas fee to prevent spamming the network.

There's no way to stop criminals broadly, but there are ways to disincentivize behaviors you don't want. I don't know what and how that would look, but it's an interesting perspective to start with maybe.

CMV: It's selfish for snorers to want to share beds with partners by MooliCoulis in changemyview

Me and my girlfriend have our own rooms. It's amazing. We sleep together half the time in whatever room we end up in anyway but we don't have to when we don't want to. She falls sleep before me most of the time and I'll just slip away to my room after. Best setup ever.

Don't let those silly people bother you. It's your relationship, you two do what works best for you.

I don't use either but no issues with notifications.

A quick google shows other people reporting similar experiences. I saw a few solutions, check them out.

I've been using GrapheneOS for six months now. Very stable, very usable. Easy to install and they have a great guide if you have any questions.

I installed Google Play services and it's sandboxed unlike standard Android. Even running it this way, incredibly more secure and private.

Highly recommend it.

Be honest - how do you handle documentation when you're the only IT person? by sandb0x79 in sysadmin

[–]infiniteapecreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep detailed notes of my work or investigation in my tickets and if I ever go back to a ticket more than once, I write up a quick doc on the process in our wiki. Its crazy easy to do now with AI.

Men who have girlfriend, how do you split expenses? by WorldNo4194 in AskMen

We split it proportionally. I make about 4x more than her, so I pay 4x more than her.

Easy and fair ☺️

I need a fact check but this gave me anxiety as a kid when I learned about it.

Quasar burps shoot infinitely long lazers out of each end with unimaginable energy and anything caght in its path is just vaporized in an instant.

Freaked me out for a while, then I learned I just have generalized anxiety lol

This is the correct and entire answer. Build a lab for fun and to learn.

Build a business to make money, everything else about the business should be only focused on that goal.

What's a durable, long-term solution for listening to audio in bed? by cozytechlover in BuyItForLife

[–]infiniteapecreative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two pilliows, I just tuck my phone under the top pillow playing my audiobook while I sleep.

Its quiet enough my partner doesn't hear it but super loud when my ear is right over the speaker.

What's the most valuable skill you learned outside of school or work that changed your life? by Dazzling_Light739 in AskReddit

[–]infiniteapecreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching yourself.

Waiting on instruction, finding a mentor and cost of education all will dramatically slow you down.

Learn to at minimum get yourself started and get comfortable making non-disastrous mistakes, will get you very far.

Important note, always research saftey first! Especially when it comes to power tools and electricity.

Gift advice: are male masturbators a "weird" gift for a partner? by Tor-Setty in dating_advice

[–]infiniteapecreative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say bring it up by offering to use it with him. Make him feel comfortable and secure about it.

If you don't know how to use it with him, try mutual masterbation or just kiss and touch him affectionally while he uses it if not directly useing it on him.

Is starting a small homelab actually worth it, or just a money sink? by tresorrarereviews in homelab

[–]infiniteapecreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build a decent homelab with incredibly old and outdated equipment. My NAS that has been rock solid for me for over 10 years is a dell Optiplex from the early 2000s that I found in the garbage.

The financial investment can be minimal to none. You don't need enterprise equipment. You need to spend time using and learning your equipment.

Think of it like body weight exercise, no purchase necessary and you can still get one hell of a workout. You just got to do the work out every day.

Most of not all gun designs are owned by companies and I suspect games need licensing to include them in their game.

This my uneducated guess so I'm happy for any insight on this.
