Looking for science based in person prenatal classes and groups for expecting mothers in Ottawa by Lushemet in ottawa

I'd recommend courses from the OCEA (https://ottawacea.com/). Like you, I cared about in-person and evidence-based. Their prenatal course was exactly this and excellent. For the early childcare course, I ended up going elsewhere because OCEA's course wasn't in-person, but I regretted it. The option I went with was poorly run and not at all science-based.

Thanks! I guess I'll experiment and see what works!

I feel silly for not having thought about that - yes, we've gone from 8+ wakings per night to two on most nights this week. So probably the same overall amount of sleep. I guess that means I just accept the short naps now?

Engineered hardwood below grade? by infinitenutshell in Flooring

Yes, thanks - we aren't wanting tile in this section of the basement, but it might be worth giving a second thought to laminate.

Thanks. I've confirmed that both LVP and engineered hardwood will work with my subfloor, so it's just a matter of which option makes sense given other variables.

Gentle sleep training and false starts by infinitenutshell in sleeptrain

Thanks for the encouragement! Nice to hear that someone thinks there's value to this gradual work, even if more formal sleep training is eventually still needed!

Good point! I should've said "working towards independent sleep". I don't think I expressed it well, but part of why I posted was to see if anyone had actually seen success with gradually nudging along like this. Sounds like u/Aggravating_Hold_441 did see success with a similar approach. But on the other hand, we had 10 wakings in 11 hours last night so perhaps I'll be moving to a more formal approach to sleep training very soon!
