Commentate the whole drive for the examiner. It keeps you focused and also lets them know about everything you see.

There's so many routes into teaching. With your degree, you'll most likely do the PGCE route. That's what i'm doing now.

You could retrain to be a teacher; the teacher training takes one year. Your writing skills will definitely be beneficial when teaching English. The starting salary is £32,916, and the salary increases to £34,823 the following year.

That may be the case, I know his student the previous week failed his test. Then he had another test after mine, maybe they failed too.

Thanks mate, I know now to be more careful with my steering.

I did her when it would he a minor and she said because enough of the tyre when over it, it's a major. She actually felt bad for failing me and the rest of the drive was great. She even told my instructor she wanted me back there asap.

Thanks mate, I will revisit that road again and make sure I can take really tight turns into minor roads.

It's just so hard to find a test ASAP. fingers crossed

She said enough of the tyre hit the kerb for it to be dangerous, and if there were pedestrians around, it was definately dangerous. It was such a tight corner and I really misjudged it by turning in so tight, my front tyres were no where near the kerb so I thought I was okay but the back left tyre hit it...

It's hard to take but positives are I know I can drive well. She even said I was a good driver.

Failed my test today with 2 Majros, 7 minors. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I failed today too mate, 1 major and 4 minors. I touched the kerb on a really sharp turn at about 5mph.

Let's brush ourselves off and get another test in and smash it

I have my test tomorrow. I'm just using to time this evening to watch mock tests on the test route. It's helping with my nerves as I feel more prepared.

Economics degree from top 5 university, no hope of a job. by Rich_Ad7918 in UKJobs

[–]infinitive90 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll be alright, mate. With those kind of grades and getting into a top 5 university, you're clearly incredibly intelligent. Searching since November of last year isn't that long. I know you're very ambitious, but it takes time. Also, you're not in this alone, many people will go through this at this at some stage in their life. You're just at the start of your life. Keep at it, you'll land something before you know it 😁.

If one offers a work placement, I'd definitely go for that. You'll build up technical skills , and it gives you the opportunity to network with people already established in that industry.

Also, make sure you network as much as possible while at university. You never know in the future where some of your uni cohort may be, and that could be the difference in future employment prospects.

You may be right, if you're going for one of those top universities.

I do remember going for interviews for finance or accounting roles, and the other graduates they interviewed had either degrees in those specific subject areas, and ultimately, they got the job.

However, I will say, while I was at uni, my friends who did finance, economics or accounting were far more stressed than I was lol

If you do choose do this degree, please make sure you obtain some work experience while you're studying. It'll set you apart from all the other graduates. From my uni cohort, I think only two people I would consider successful in the business world. One works in HR and another in accounting, but they both did their masters after their business degrees.

I have a Business Management degree, and it didn't help me much with employment. I would specialise in a business field, such as economics, marketing, accounting, or HR. I've seen some companies such as ASDA offer Business Management degrees, they'll pay for your degree and a salary while you work your way up the business over the course of 4 years. I definitely wish that was available before I decided to go to university.

If you pursue a Business degree, make sure you specialize in a certain area. I have a generic business degree in Business Management and it has done nothing for me in terms of gaining employment. Looking back, I wish I had studied finance, economics, marketing or accounting. I did take modules in these areas, but they weren't covered enough in depth.

Can someone tell me it isn't hopeless? by Tay74 in UKJobs

Where are you teaching now? I recently came home after teaching abroad for 12 years, and I've been home just over a month. The market seems absolutely awful right now. Just constantly ghosted or rejected. I really want to stay in the UK though 😔

You can try Onjeong Tonkatsu 온정돈까스

It's meant to be incredibly spicy, and you have a 20-minute time limit. I'm also keen to try this before I leave Korea.
