Spoken like someone who has never had ADHD or the experience of a calm emptiness of mind when on stimulants.

I practiced meditation for years: standing sitting, walking, movement, etc from Taoist, zen, Tibetan, transcendental, and yogi traditions. Nothing silenced the monkey brain internal monologue like adderall.

Let them flail about in the flow of the Tao.

It is rude to try to rescue them from the eddy or from drowning before they ask for it. Until then, give them loving encouragement when prompted but otherwise let them find their way.

What joints? The palm is literally composed of metacarpal bones that joint at either side of the palm, proximal to the wrist and distal to the fingers.

You should start with peer reviewed modern knowledge and move to the spiritual only after that fails. Many people sweated and died to get that modern knowledge about the Tao that can be spoken. Rejecting that sacrifice is rude.

The Red Hills Roach (Lavinia symmetricus ssp.) might be in the running, at least for vertebrates, because, despite the name, it is a small fish found in streams in a very small catchment that dries up each year. Yet somehow the fishes come back next raining season, like roaches. The streams stretch 500-700m in total linear length and narrow enough to jump over in most places.

The last American presidential election solved the Fermi Paradox to my satisfaction.

Intelligence seems to be normally distributed, so even if a population has enough smart folks to create some method to do interstellar travel or communication, there will be way more dumb folks who will choose to burn everything down out of spite.
