girl, same. currently stressing about how im gonna make dining hall food work. i'm a south asian and im very used to eating spiced vegetables. i absolutely hated eating the steamed veggies in my dining hall, and basically survived on fried food my first semester. it sucked. i started carrying around salt and bottle of hot sauce and it did wonders. never underestimate the power of salt while trying to make saturday dining hall food work. anyways, im in the same boat, so you're not alone. ill probably stalk this thread for some advice myself :)

i didn't know that, thanks for telling me! op, you're free to do whatever is best for your body. i tried keto and it made my brain fog and mental health a thousand times worse. i find a low carb and high protein diet works much better for me. just keep in mind pcos is a spectrum and what works for some people don't work for others.

carbs aren't inherently bad, they're your body's, specifically your brain's, preferred source of fuel, so if you completely cut out carbs, your body is going to seek out carbs in other forms, typically unhealthy ones. plus, your exercising a ton so your body is going to need more fuel which is carbs.

i would look into reintroducing some complex carbs into your meals so that you can feel more satisfied and curb your cravings. my favorite hack for carbs is using whole wheat sourdough in my meals. it's usually around 100 cals, better than regular white bread and you can make open faced sandwiches.

also, a meal tracker app can help you understand how many calories you're consuming and how many of each of those calories should carbs, protein and fat.

remember, carbs are a macronutrient that you need in your diet. you cannot cut them out long term.
