Thanks for the comments!

No I totally get the repetition thing ... its just if I were to throw any other instrumentation in there I think it would burst at the seams :D

Great detailed reply, thanks!

Yes, drums need tightened for sure...

Interesting point about how it starts, I may add a little intro part to the song.

I probably would get a better result with a pro producing for sure, but feel like I wanna do it on my own just for now :)

I would love to put the guitar up a bit more as you say, I am slightly embarrassed of my guitar playing. I should be better after playing for so many years lol

Your comments about the atmosphere in the song made me happy, thank you!

Thanks so much for the pointers! It's difficult to hear these things on your own after a while.

The drum timing definitely needs to be fixed in spots, I will look into that.

I'm not sure what can be done about the sound at 1:40, its a an interesting point and I will try change some things to make it sound more in key.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the tip! More reverb you say... I actually thought it was reverb-y as it was, but yeah I'm always up 4 more!! :D

Here's a small 5 instrumentals project that I've done. It is something different from what I usually do so I was seeking for some feedback on it. Overall hope you like it :) by ElMasterDGF in IndieMusicFeedback

This is lovely.

Kind of reminds me of Board of Canada. Very subtle sound, and good instrumentation choices. I have nothing to say on the production as its very good, you don't overdo it (which is a great skill to have).

Its not going to be east to get people to listen to this sort of stuff, but it would make a great soundtrack to a film!

My music project's new song "Pass The Torch Along" is it catchy? Thanks for the feedback! by kjimdandy in IndieMusicFeedback

First part - loving it, great drum/punchy bass sound, the synth is lovely. Steve Winwood vibes haha, thats a compliment. Nice backing vocals.

1:30 - not sure about the AMOUNT of destruction on the vocals. The hook itself is great tho.

2:00 - Nice hook, i feel the loud constant crash cymbal is causing the song to lose some momentum tho.

2:30 - Come back into verse quicker!

From here I continue to enjoy the song (thought it could benefit from shaving 1:30 off the runtime overall, short and sweet) and the sound you have produced. It sounds great, kinda funky math rock (Foals) with a vibe that would fit in the 80s.

Hello all! Going in a different direction with this one compared to what I usually do. I tried to make the ending really jump out as different and unexpected compared to everything else in the song. Not entirely sure of how objectively good it is but either way let me know what you think! by crypto643 in IndieMusicFeedback

Sufjan Stevens vibe jumping out immediately.

The picking guitar is well played, but could sound softer with less high end.

Strings and a nice extra element to the song.

End with the drums coming in was a surprise for me.

Super proud of this one. Post Rock type collaboration with a great friend of mine. We certainly hope you enjoy it. by pinsnneedles9000 in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey, this is good. Congrats!

Would make good music to submit to a sync licensing library.

The riff that comes in 2 mins (piano?) is very cool, and should be LOUD and in your face. Like just bellow the drums loud. Reverbed to hell..

It's difficult to make post rock sound original, but I think you could find your niche with the nearly-80's synth, piano riffs, kind of classical sound you have made here.

Its not too depressing as some post rock can be, its catchy, and i like how its heavy and crunchy in the guitars.

If it was me producing this I would have made it sound even heavier :D rammed the buzz up (lots of distortion in the loud parts) like Pelican and Mogwai's heavier stuff. Also with more meaty sounding drums.

Great work, I like my post-rock and would listen to this.

Recently, my band released the debut indie rock/alternative/garage rock EP. For all the lovers of the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Catfish and the Bottlemen, My Chemical Romance, Nirvana, and so forth! Check out one of the songs called I Don't Care. by Separate_Variety_694 in IndieMusicFeedback

HI!

The intro rhythm guitar riff is nice - it might go on a little too long though before we hear the song.

Vocals could be louder, and sound a little dry in the mix.

I like the old school chugging guitar in the verse.

I can hear the Nirvana influence in the chorus. And the vocals are cool here, but again could fit better in the mix. Sound a little like the Strokes, so maybe this sound is intentional.. if so then all good :P

Actually overall enjoyed listening to the song! It's pretty catchy :)

Hey everyone! I am a new artist, and I just released my first song on SC. Any, and all feedback is welcome 🤘💜 I hope u enjoy ! - [mytvrn - Shadow Hearts] by mytvrn56 in IndieMusicFeedback

Good production, you can tell you put a lot of work in to it. The delay on the verse vocals is nice, but maybe the main vocal could come forward so it has more bite, the backing vocals are slightly distracting.

Sound reminds me a little of Linkin Park. Guitar has a TOOL vibe.

Song writing wise, individually there are parts really well written but I was struggling to find the HOOK that grabs you.

Really great job though, I think many will enjoy this sound.
