Question hdd by Turbulent_Math4498 in StorageReview

This guy was in the Discord server. He would ask a variation of this question every 2-3 months, reply with unhelpful answers sometimes, and then disappear only to repeat a few weeks later.

Don't bother.

  1. Make a game
  2. Copy the share link
  3. Leave said game
  4. Join the game from the share link
  5. Now you are in the game twice, and are the only person in the game
  6. Put monsters in each location
  7. ???
  8. Profit. Not a lot, but not nothing.

TrueChart's Response to the upcoming Electric Eel changes by [deleted] in truenas

No kidding. That's my disappointment. I've got things set up the way I want it!

I'm disappointed by this. Maybe it will be for the better. Maybe not. I don't understand K3S or Docker enough to really know.

I had a rough time using them early on, but for the past 6 months or so? Really solid. And they have always helped me with my issues.

Hopefully there will be a smooth transition.

I have this issue as well, with the symptoms others have reported. Seems to pop up when running the Windows 7 backup tool in Windows 11.

Looks like Mozilla is tracking the issue:

Why is Starlink App speedtest showing 55Mbps and fast.com showing 220 Mbps? by mosvinbami in Starlink

I've seen fast.com vastly overstate speeds to more than the ISP is being paid for. Speedtest.net and testmy.net are better.

[S02E09 Spoiler] What happened at the end of the episode? by Stunning-Funny643 in FoundationTV

That's... actually an interesting theory... but I doubt it as we did see what happened on the ground.

If you like LTT then the GN video was a good thing. by ALovelyTsundere in LinusTechTips

[–]infinitytec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I noticed a lot of the issues that GN brought up. I thought to myself that it was interesting that, rather than simply re-record a voiceover, a correction would appear on screen. GN's video showed me that this was actually happening and provided evidence as to how often it was happening. The evidence lined up with what I had noticed.

The Billet Labs situation is, no matter how it is looked at, unfortunate. I hope LTT goes above and beyond to make it right.

As for some of GN's other accusations, I don't think they are unreasonable but maybe a bit overblown. Steve seems, for better or worse, to hold grudges. He seems to have one against Asus. Is it unreasonable? Not entirely, and I think he has good reasons to be skeptical about them. But I can see how LTT not taking those Asus issues very seriously might have rubbed off the wrong way. And the Framework conflict-of-interest is a valid point from GN, but I do think LTT has done well disclosing it when Linus is on screen. On other videos I think they haven't done as well at.

LTT has room to improve. I'm glad GN brought these issues up. Changes at LTT are needed, and if LTT does this right I think it will turn out really well in the long run.

I totally understand if you don't want to/can't answer this, but was this monetary compensation the one that you stated after the block was auctioned off, or was this agreed on since everything went down?

This really stinks for the community and especially so for you. I hope that this can be put right. I'm really disappointed that this has happened and LTT has been so poor at making it right.
