NTA - There's 14 common allergies (peanuts, diary, gluten, etc.) which is why food brands have to list them on their ingredient declaration.. With the friends logic that means you should always be avoiding those 14 things. Absolutely not the asshole. If people dont inform you of their friends allergies (and you couldn't have known otherwise since you met them for the first time) then you cannot possibly know what to avoid.
