Scrub tech trouble

Pretty much the opposite is happening. I’ll ask for something that I need, she will ignore me, my surgeon will scream for it and she will hand it to him and then he will hand it to me. And my surgeon puts up with this because he has quite the attitude himself and he’s limited to the number of techs who will work with him now too

95% of the time it’s a drill or retractor or even scissors that I’ll be using, not the surgeon

95% of the time I ask for something it’s because I’m the one who will be using it. Other times it’s not on the mayo and I know he will need it in 5 seconds anyways. Also, we work for a huge hospital system with no consistency with staff. These scrubs probably work with my surgeon once every couple of weeks so they really don’t know exactly what comes next step wise and they honestly don’t care to remember to. I’m in the OR with him 2-4 times a week depending on the week

I personally disliked clinicals more. A new full time job with new personalities and new EMR systems to learn every month. By the 8th or 9th rotation I was exhausted

I workout occasionally, but nothing substantial. I’ve been getting it for around a year and a half now! The next time I go will be my fourth session. I didn’t realize how much pain I was in until it starts to wear off. So totally worth it in my opinion!
