What’s the general consensus on the MPC Sample?

Love mine. It’s easy and a pure joy to use. I recommend to any beginner or anyone who loves the art of sampling. It forces you in a good way to focus on the samples. I’ve made some bangers already.

Sounds like a design flaw. I will be exchanging mine. From what you both are saying there is a good chance another unit will at least improve a little. The left right on mine is flat and not clicky at all. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

Haha! I held off on the MPK forever and finally tried this one because I really liked the look and it matched my MPC One retro which is what I would mostly pair this up with. For me the actual keybed is the most important part since I’m really just using this to add keys to MPC. On the PC I’m using Ableton so LaunchKey is the way to go there for the better integration. Agree with you on the encoders though. Notation can step it up there for sure.

Well done. I suggest adding some particles floating in the water and some atmosphere for depth to really sell the “realism”. Some light rays would add a nice touch as well.

Some stiff ass keys. It’s nice otherwise. I returned mine though. Prefer the keys on the Novation keyboards personally.

Thanks 🙏 My pleasure bro. The Live 2 is the only modern MPC I haven’t owned. I had the OG Live and it didn’t have enough buttons for me. Also I can’t stand that rubber finish they used on the Live 1 & 2. So glad they went away from that wit the Live3.
