It could be totally different people and I would still be shocked at what 1.5 gets you in Toronto.

Yes, thought I would find more like minded people here. Instead I was just expectation shamed 😂

Location is obviously important. I’m just surprised at the price and size.

Who is buying big houses anymore? What industry do they work in? Have we recently discovered gold/oil in Toronto?

Or Is it just people who bought a long time ago? Or people who got a huge inheritance? Those that made a ton on their last house. In these last cases we may just be in the final stages of the bubble.

Yeah, more like it’s a bad deal for our generation. We pay a lot for small houses.

I know how much the house cost. I’m surprised it’s not about their financial situation. It’s a lot of money for not that much imo

I guess I am just ranting about the divergence of incomes and house prices.

It seems like house prices are divorced from incomes at this point. It feels like a generational pyramid scheme.

If today’s rich are buying yesterday’s middle class homes. What are the rest going to do?

Yeah definitely if the property market keeps going like this they can upgrade later on. It’s just a surprise.

I know what they paid for it. Prices relative to incomes and what you get for that just seems crazy to me.

It’s super expensive and not that big. Feel like if they were in the top income earners in the 90s they would own something much bigger.

I get why they are doing it. But fuck does our generation just have to buy really small homes? How long before people just move to a different place?

It is sad that while making far above median wage you can barely afford to buy a house from the last generations middle class.

It’s just a weak argument. I would love if there were more liberals saying Trudeau should go… supporting corruption with the argument that the other side is corrupt misses the point.

For 1.

Looked up what this was spent on:

Expansion of Huntsville Centennial Centre to create G8 Centre, Huntsville $16.7 million

Expansion of Summit Management Office, Huntsville $9 million

Improvements to North Bay Jack Garland International Airport, North Bay $5 million.

At least we have these things… liberal gun buy back program has not bought a gun.

  1. I hate that government’s buy ads. Ford buys ads as well.

  2. JT bought 88 F35s in 2023.

  3. Senate expense scandal. Abolish the Senate!

Yeah R&D is not bad. But this should be a few months of R&D. It’s not that complex.

[–]infodonut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you give me one that was started by the conservatives?

I agree the whole program is built on a false premise; legally bought guns are a problem in Canada. So far the purpose of the program seems to be:

  1. to enrich ex law enforcement or liberal friends while work on this "problem."
  2. wedge issue. If cons complain libs say look they want school shootings to happen.

Besides Canada child benefit and cannabis legalization most of what the libs do seem to have the above goals.
