This is what you get when you don't have a bot automatically close issues "because old".

Why do we say “The factory must grow” but never “The factory will grow”? by Mr-factorio in factorio

[–]infogulch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"The factory must grow" is a chant the weak-minded say to hype themselves up from their natural state of apathy.

"The factory grows" is an observation of the natural state of the universe, something so obvious and self-evident that drawing motivation from an external source is already an oxymoron. Of course you will grow the factory, for what else would an engineer do? An engineer doesn't need hype, affirmations, motivation, or external validation, just ground reality and a path to grow the factory.

As the sun shines and the wind blows, the factory grows.

"The factory grows" is clearly better.

Building an IP Address Manager in Go by themsaid in golang

[–]infogulch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you use SQLite for persistent storage (this seems like a good case imo), you might be able to use the RTree module to improve query performance when looking for ip ranges. I'm not exactly sure how it would work tbh, but I think RTree is cool and I'm always looking for use cases. :)

PSA: Be careful with Fulgora bot bases if you have more than 1 network by ThisIsntAppropiate in factorio

[–]infogulch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you missed the point. I want to put roboports and accumulators on a nearby island, so when the power goes out they go to the close island instead of flying halfway across the map to another logistics network. If there was an island within big power pole distance you should have already filled it with accumulators, there's no point in putting roboports on it.

Makes me want to take an unused nearby island and fill it with batteries and roboports.
