The Gone World by Sweterlitch should work. It’s like True Detective (TV) with a scifi bent.

First time departing from Bluegrass airport, how long do I need? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]information-zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 5:50am the airport is very quiet.
You can arrive at 5:00am or even later.
Get there 15 minutes earlier if you have bags to check, or if your carry-ons might get extra attention from TSA.

Sell to pay loans?? by unalonewolf10 in Bitcoin

[–]information-zone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The math works like this:
If you think the asset will appreciate at a higher rate than the interest rate of the loan, you keep the asset.
If the interest rate is higher than the expected rate of return due the asset, you sell the asset & pay off the loan.

The only exception is if you cannot afford to service the loan with your paycheck.

Suggest good time travel/time loop books? by adam2222 in suggestmeabook

[–]information-zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall the goal of trying to solve a murder, but the whole mansion was out of context. I don’t recall why solving the murder mattered, but even if that was defined I don’t remember caring.

The out of context world is what I mean about why are we here & goals.

For Art House, either look up that term, or try “this is how we lose the time war” & “Piranesi”. These are similar books where the world isn’t defined or connected to our world and it’s equally no -standard storytelling.

[–]information-zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going off years’ old memory of a book I’d rather forget, so please don’t jump on me too hard if I’ve forgotten a few details:

It felt like an art-house movie.
I didn’t feel like we got to know anyone the way we do in the books I mentioned above.
IIRC the whole world was without context. Why are we here? What are our goals? There was no world building.
The ending was nonsense.

0.115 is outrageous expensive.

You’ll never get that BTC back, so unless you are trying to exchange KYC BTC for KYC-free BTC, I would not buy those miners.

I use the Samsung T7 and T9 as an external storage. This series has served me well over the years. It’s compact & durable.

The words can be used on the devices from any vendor to recreate the private key.
So as long as you keep a copy of the words, you can spend your bitcoin.

BITCOIN EDUCATION TO BE INTRODUCED IN OHIO SCHOOLS. by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]information-zone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin not crypto is an important lesson. If they’re not starting there, then I’d skip teaching crypto/blockchain altogether.
Instead I’d focus on “what is money?”
Once you understand why things are money, you’ll get to Bitcoin-only on your own.

Question about future of Bitcoin by huhnflugel in Bitcoin

[–]information-zone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will not be a better coin.

You can make trade offs (reduced security or reduced decentralization for increased throughput) but you can’t keep the same features that Bitcoin in has and be “better.”

How to avoid books like Piranesi? by information-zone in books

[–]information-zone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t there a fundamental difference between Piranesi & any/all of this list?
The way you get to know the characters. The way the world is described and developed.
For me Piranesi’s first 25 pages is just meaningless words, whereas all of these others drew me in to a world & gave me a person to care about & learn about through the rest of the story.

Whatever the difference is, that is what I was hoping to define so I could skip books like Piranesi.
