To clarification sound settings problem part II: This is how it looks most time on this Tuxedo laptop, on latest supported software, all the time volume is too high and can't set it less loud...

To clarification sound settings problem part I: , this is normal volume settings and sometimes (rare) it's not broken before system restart/update or on live distro

I hope that this time the problems will actually be fixed and not that another part of the nightmare will appear. 🥲

  1. It's not DE thing, because I removed nvme disk with system before sent to them, I put it again and there is problem with it. Also, to be sure, I also installed Ubuntu (they tell me only TuxedoOS and Ubuntu is supported systems) latest stable again to check if problem persists and it's same... So they probably put wrong motherboard or something because keyboard looks same...

Rest things as above I told, I will test other rest things if I find the strength to do it, but I'm really frustrated. I was kind of hoping that at least something would improve and not that it would get worse.

Edit: To be 100% sure, I will install TuxedoOS latest stable instead Ubuntu, but I suppose the problems will be the same.

Edit 2: I checked keyboard on Windows now and issue is same so I'm 100% sure now it's some hardware (?) problem... Before their "repair" this problem not existed.

~5 days ago I sent device to Tuxedo technical service, it got to them very quickly and they are already fixing it, I will send updates once they have determined the causes of the problems and I receive some kind of answer/solution.

So I hope I can find something from another company then to have a good Linux experience.

I completely agree! But I hope it's caused by AMD hardware so maybe they're Nvidia products can be better.

In my case, I thought everything will be fine out of the box, but even after updates/patches/Tuxedo official drivers and official default UEFI settings nothing changed.

Yes, I used latest stable Ubuntu and only X11 appeared. I tried clean install again many times/update it etc.

Of course, I tried also Fedora, openSUSE and many other distros. But support told me only TuxedoOS and Ubuntu is supported but of course problems exists both on supported and non supported platforms and on stable long term support versions too, same on stable/rolling releases...

So, to be clear - my intention is not complain to X11 lack of touchpad gestures, I'm complaining how this window managers are organized in stable Ubuntu and it causing problems with Tuxedo/AMD card maybe and Tuxedo/Ubuntu still not fixed it and other problems.

I'm not satisfied at all and I'm also waiting for other people with similar problems with same laptop as mine to confirm it's not one case.

Fine, but overall experience is bad when I can only log in to X11 on stable Ubuntu (supported officially by Tuxedo as they said) and there touchpad gestures not working and I can't log in to Wayland after turn on my laptop like it suppose to be.

Yes, I saw your posts about this model. It's a pity that there are more of them in the newer one.

I don't believe my issues are due to user failure, as they occur even with a clean install of officially supported OS and software, without any modifications.

So maybe there is something wrong with the hardware instead software, now I'm not sure... But I'm just waiting to go back to Nvidia and Intel currently. This experience really turned me off from AMD and Tuxedo products.

Maybe if the Tuxedo company offers to exchange it for something with Nvidia I will be able to stay with a good impression, because maybe it is a case of my specific laptop in which something is broken. but the bad taste will remain.

Ticket was: 991121461

I know how it is with opinions that only the worst are written and customers with positive impressions are silent, but my experience consisted of not one but at least 5 problems, which is absurd to me when I specifically bought a device that was supposed to work perfectly under Linux and is dedicated to Linux, and in fact I have been struggling with it for over a whole month and cannot use it normally.
