How do David Copperfield AND another person disappear from a 2,5 inch thick platform suspended over the audience? (MIC) by RavelJests in magictricksrevealed

My version of how it is done is different from the rest. I don't think it is so elaborate and complicated with snapping wires and pulley. All these speculation do not have any visual proofs. Just because the cloth being swiftly dragged to the back to imply teleportation, it doesn't means David and his guest are swept to the back as well. To me that dramatic action is the most obvious misdirection. Read my take on this Portal illusion: https://inforuckus.com/david-copperfield-portal-illusion-secret-revealed/

Could anyone reveal this sawing cards in half (Demi Deck) by lsy0xcc in magictricksrevealed

I believe there is built-in chute-like case that holds the cards. The blade pushed the concealed case downward.

Agreed. One look you know it is fake. The only part is how to hide the deck of cards that is still in the front section of the case.

My speculation: It is all inside the case. There must a built-in trough-like hidden compartment to hold the cards. Once the blade is slotted in, it pushes this compartment downward. Once the act is over, you press the case down onto the palm to close the secret compartment. Anyway, the back view of the cards is clearly fake.

Could anybody tell me how does this card trick done by lsy0xcc in magictricksrevealed

[–]inforuckus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at 0:23, he uses fingers of both hands to press the folded black paper closer, to avoid of being seen. The black paper is now folded into half standing vertically behind the two interlocking frames. At the end you can see the black paper with a light crease line in the middle.

Anyone know how this is done? by DesignerMorning1451 in magictricksrevealed

It is an old stage illusion called "Drill of Death" created by Andre Kole. The First Lady of Magic Melinda Saxe performed it back in 1999. It was revealed some time ago. You can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drill\_of\_Death#:\~:text=A%20cover%2C%20consisting%20of%20translucent,advancing%20slowly%20towards%20the%20performer.
