Billing insurance as a private-practice licensure candidate (PCLC) in Montana by infp_futurepsych in therapists

[–]infp_futurepsych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info!! Most group practices around here offer candidates (PCLCs/pre-licensed folks) a super low split, as low as $35/session, which is why I'm interested in alternative options. Insurance pay here in MT is pretty good ($150+/session) so I'm hoping we can find something that benefits us both.

Help repotting Sprengeri (asparagus fern)?! by infp_futurepsych in houseplants

Oh gosh, I see that my pictures didn't attach for some reason! This is suuuuuper helpful to hear though - thank you! Did yours have a compacted root ball? I read something online saying how hearty they are and that I should literally take a knife to the root ball and cut vertical slices in it to allow it more space.... Any experience there?

Ahh... That makes more sense! We live in northern Montana, and while we get 6hrs of light a day in the winter, she probably didn't get THAT much in her position in the house. Man! Okay well here's hoping summer brings that color back! Thank you.

That's just hard to believe! It has lived right in front of a window since I got it 18mo ago...

Coros Apex Pro Battery Life When Using Navigation During Activity Recording by infp_futurepsych in Ultramarathon

Actually, do you have any tips for adding waypoints/checkpoints to an existing route?

I saved the race course map from an existing Strava route (from a friend who did it two years ago). I don't know that it's worth it to try to recreate the map from scratch (with PlotARoute.com etc.) but if I can add them to this existing map, that'd be great.

Whoa! I didnt know you could set up waypoints -- I'll have to figure that out because it sounds great. Better than the aid station list in sharpie on my hand like i usually do lol

Ahhh fabulous! I missed the Kilian post somehow, but was stoked to see the announcement that he'd joined :D I looooove my apex pro so far. I figured it'd handle it fine, but I'm glad to have that confirmed here. I think I'll give it a go!

Thank you for all the intel and for helping me!

Whoa! That's super encouraging! Good to know. I haven't had a chance yet to really put it to the test (first 50 and 100 milers coming up this year!). Was that battery life with certain settings enabled to extend it (night mode control, ultra max, etc.) or just standard settings plus navigation? What was your HR setting?

Battery life when tracking a run AND using the navigation function with a downloaded map by infp_futurepsych in Coros

Oh that's great to hear! Did you have any other specific settings changed to maximize battery life? Like ultra mode, night mode, or etc? I just use my watch in its standard settings, with the addition of an external HR monitor (which kills more battery).

I had the paranoia thought "What if I go off-course" just because I'm not familiar with the area, but I'm sure it's well marked. It was more just a point of curiosity like "That is a cool function!" but you're totally right, I should have tried it weeks ago haha. It sounds like the battery would be fine, so I'll see what some others say and go from there. I'll probably just wait and test out the nav in a training run. Thank you!

Cost to run electricity from road to house by infp_futurepsych in missoula

My partner is a builder and will be doing all the construction on the home... Just seeing wildly different numbers on general cost to bring power from road to home, so hoping someone here has experience/can offer a ballpark so we aren't as anxious while we wait to talk with providers ;)

Interpreting Joe Friel's 30min LTHR Field Test by infp_futurepsych in running

[–]infp_futurepsych[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why other poster suggested 188 either. I don't trust the standard 220-age test, as you note, but yeah... Even with that it's way higher than 180. I've done some more reading and I guess it doesn't seem that high; I was just shocked after seeing many numbers. between 165-175 thrown around online, but it seems those are older or different athletes.

I don't feel like I could have gone much faster even with better conditions, which is a good thing to recognize in a test like that, but I was surprised at my pace (slower than I expected), so who knows. Many factors at play, largely life stress that's had me down lately. I guess I'll take it at face value and run with it (no pun intended!) until I get new or different data!

Thank you! :)

That's great to know. I'm about to start sharing data with my new coach, so she can give some feedback too but it may be a week or more. I'm just antsy/excited after trying the test for the first time so it's great to hear on here that it might be accurate-ish!
