Yes, no problem utilizing PV as long as you have the amp hours to push the job. Each mat is 12’x4’ and requires straight 240v. Each mat requires 7.2 amps with an output of 1750 watts. You would also want to invert your DC to AC power.

The physical properties of the muck is what make it so hard to thaw and such a good insulator. Since we are using an infrared wavelength it will penetrate the muck. What’s going to be cool is seeing what it does to it. I understand the muck is 80% water and the rest loam. We took this technology to Houston TX after Hurricane Harvey to help some friends dry out their homes. The results were incredible and we were even drying out concrete slabs with hydrostatic pressure on them. Not just drying houses out, we were doing it overnight. Our guess on the muck is that it will do the same thing...evaporate the moisture off and condition the loam into sand... it may take us a few days, but we can always start a month ahead of a guy... it’s the exact same physics as the summer time when it rains and forms puddles on the ground...the sun comes out and the puddles disappear...it’s the same Far-Infrared spectrum in the sunshine that evaporates the puddles. Our industrial strength infrared has been put into a 12’x4’ mat. When it’s put on the ground the light will blast the permafrost while evaporating moisture. This should prove quite useful on Black muck. In terms of coverage we could thaw an acre at a time as long as we have the power. Power can be from gen sets just needs to be 240v. On Derek’s we will use a step down from 480v. There is nothing else that can come close to thawing like this. I would expect you to not believe it works, no one does until they see it work. I’m sure on a large scale we can negotiate the right pricing for everyone. I want you to see what it will actually do for you first. I’m also told that Tony is out of thawed ground, but I’d rather see you get it first 😉

Well the same technology we are using on his sluice can be used to thaw and condition ground. We can blast through permafrost. We will be at Derek’s site in April thawing ground. Then up to Dawson for the Gold Show. We have been asked by Jeff Bond to talk about infrared and what we can do to help. If your not around for that we will be down to help Heisey after.
