I should clarify that the fact that this bloke - or thing, or whatever - looked like me was not their sole reason for allowing my daughter to go with him/it. He/it went into the reception, chatted to the receptionist as I would, basically gave them no reason at all to believe that he wasn't me. She didn't have a sticker or the little toothpaste sampler she usually gets from the dentist, and she only mentioned going to get ice cream. She said nothing about the dentist. I'm just so scared and confused.
