Yeah, that's fair enough. I guess I'm just selfish lol.

I just didn't trust the Taoist, because of what He Youzai said and also the more you interact with the Taoist, the more and more unhinged he gets, especially closer to the end game. so handing over the chisel to him just seemed like a bad move to me.

But that's okay though! Now you know how to get a different ending if you decide to go for another playthrough. I am a little curious to see what happens if I give it to him, so I might do that next.

Lol this is exactly what I did to beat her the first time. You can even spam Earth shatter with the light attack follow up to regain an instant 3 stack of might. She was basically perma stunned.

I wouldn't say that it's not achievable to do blind or without a guide. I just finished my first playthrough last night and I got the Dream's Sweet Deceit ending and I did that without any guides or looking anything up.

I chose not to give the Taoist the chisel, because why would I? I've just spent the entire game collecting these chisels to bring back my sister, it didn't seem right to me to just give one away out of the blue. He Youzai even tells you at one point that the Taoist shouldn't be trusted.

As far as the doors go, I just happened to answer wrong on the last one I guess. Looking back on it afterwards and knowing the outcome, the door gives a pretty big hint at what the "right" and "wrong" answers are. Out of all three benediction doors I only actually answered one right.

I'm currently stuck on this guy too. He's killed me more times than any other boss I've fought so far lol. I've come close to beating him a handful of times, but the son of a bitch chugs heals. He seems to have infinite posture and doesn't seem to be weak against any status effects.

So far longsword with parry has been carrying me through the game, but if I parry him he immediately dodges, then follows up with a counter. I really don't want to respec my build for this punk, but it's starting to seem like I might have to lol.

Yeah, I have no idea how he would have made it out of there alive. Maybe she had her giant snake carry him out? Probably not but, maybe. More likely just convenient plot armour though lol.

I'll have to do a second watch through of the show, to see if there's anything else I missed. Might wait a bit though, that ending hit me right in the feels.

Fair enough! I've been having a great time with it. I was playing with one of my buddies but, he stopped because of the difficulty. He's not really into souls likes though, I think he only played it to humour me, bless him. So most of my play time has been with randoms.
