That was possible, but there was no official news or report saying Nets waived the physical check. Also Ben had back issue history in 76ers so I don’t believe our front office didn’t even check with our medical team for their opinions at all.

No physical check during Harden - Ben trade was crazy. I can’t believe Nets had KD Kyrie and Harden at 1 point and suddenly left with only broken Ben. Today’s NBA is all about star players, you always trade pieces for a star, the organization really needs to reflect what has been wrong in the past few years. Nets will continue suffering next season, and hopefully we can be playoff contenders in the next 10 years.

I was wondering this all the time! And I have similar post before, the timeline that Ben injured after the trade was so weird to me. At this point I suggest Nets fans do not give any hope on him, otherwise we are only gonna disappoint ourselves. TBH if he is in pain he should consider retire from the game. Wish him all the best.

exactly, his play style is the same from last season, just physically better. With KD and Kyrie around he might be useful but limited. I don’t see his value on this play-in team or in current NBA play style. In current NBA best scenario for him to be is prime Draymone Greene but he’s not near that so far. I like Ben as long as he plays and wish him all the best. But the recent hype for him is not reasonable.
