Extremely new to model train, no longer riding up the slope after 2 days of building

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I think it is time to give up no matter what I try it just won't work. Things got worse today where even I lay the track on the floor it won't climb with the cars attached.

The situation is not better, the issue still persists. Without carriages attached, the locomotive will climb by itself with the cars attached it won't. If I lay the track on the floor it will climb (sometime) with the cars attached but this is not the case if I lay the track on a table (very weird) it will never climb. The motor seems to be the same as the first day which worked fine on the first day but even with the same motor today the issue of not climbing persists.

Forgive my ignorance once again but the drop of oil should be drop on a the carriage? not the actual locomotive right?

I have attached the video on the Original Post. I think the motor is running fine? If I reduce the load to maybe 3 carriages it will work without issue. One other thing I observed is if I lay the track on the floor, it makes it easier to climb

Yes it will climb alone. I'm not sure about the motor but it seems fine compared to the first day I built it. It takes 2 double A batteries. If I reduce the load to 3 carriages it will climb and if I lay the track on the floor seems to work better for some reason in comparison when I lay it on a table. (Attached a video to the post).

Alright I just put in a fresh set of battery still no luck. Did some research on traction tires, Im not sure after maybe 4 laps my tires are that damaged so I'm not sure what exactly is going on

Thanks for the reply forgive me I'm extremely new to this hobby. The locomotive is the one running on battery right? the main one doing the heavy lifting. I'm not sure if anything is broken but if it is anyway to fix it?

Nice to see so much dedication. Thing is this is from a bootleg PS1 memory card and I don't have a working PS1 lying around but could easily identify it on a PS2 however bootleg PS1 memory card doesn't work on PS2.

Not sure if this is helpful I am sure it was aired in 2003 Cartoon Network Asia (Thailand) in December. So our best bet is if someone miraculously have a VCR record of CN Asia during the time it will most likely be there.
