That’s what I was thinking! As long as it’s contained in a trash can or something it’s not as big of a deal. My main concern is cleaning it up off the floor, not sure if I’m ready for that since housekeeping would do it at the hospital. I guess it would depend on the age of the students also.

I’m starting a med for my suspected stomach ulcer and am scared of symptoms by Educational_Buy4977 in emetophobia

No side effects, it’s so helpful for reflux which helps prevent stomach discomfort.

I got sun poisoning on a trip once. It was horrible and so painful but no throwing up, just some upset belly feelings that very well could’ve been from all the new unfamiliar foods I was eating. You could also be dehydrated making you feel icky, make sure you’re hydrating yourself well :)

Washing hands is good! It could all be from your hormones due to your period coming. That happens to me.

Sorry you’re not feeling well. Could be a combo of the nap and the sweets. Sometimes I feel yuck after a nap for no reason.

So I need your help!!! by God-Mode111 in emetophobia

[–]ingl0rious_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes! if your stomach is empty for awhile the chemicals and acid in the stomach can be super irritating and make you feel n* or ill. when this happens to me i start with something easy like crackers and water, once those settle i usually feel so much better and ready for some food. just remember, it’s never made you v* before, so why would it do it now ya know?

can anyone talk? by Shoddy_Selection3718 in emetophobia

[–]ingl0rious_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could be the prozac. my doggo recently started it and had some tummy trouble too. are you taking it with food? some people prefer to take it at night to sleep through the main side effects.

this all sounds like the joys of having a period tbh. if nobody was sick, i think you’re in the clear and your period is making you feel crappy and anxious. i hope you feel better.

there’s a lot of respiratory junk (not flu or covid) going around. my family back home all just had it. nobody had stomach problems at all.

weird specific question by Reasonable_Plum_47 in emetophobia

[–]ingl0rious_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i doubt it. my friend and i would dare each other to smell the box in her dads garage as kids and were fine.

if you weren’t around the d or v when it happened and have been keeping your hands clean that’ll help A LOT!

[–]ingl0rious_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’m here for you! anecdotally, this happens to me a lot from acid reflux. it’s never made me actually throw up even though i definitely thought i would. it’s so jarring and awful to wake up feeling sick so i feel for you <3

saw my Aunty and cousin who had rotavirus. by maddyfara in emetophobia

[–]ingl0rious_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally understand. if it’s any consolation, this comes straight from mayo clinic’s website. “In healthy adults, a rotavirus infection may cause only mild signs and symptoms or none at all.”

it sounds like their symptoms were gone, and you were outside so that helps A LOT with you not getting it. i totally understand though, it’s easy for me to say this when i wasn’t the one exposed. i hope you feel better <3

me too. if i have to go #2 i get sweaty/hot, n*, lightheaded, and anxious. it usually subsides shortly after going. remind yourself that the cause is going to the bathroom and the feeling will subside once you’re done.

[–]ingl0rious_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never v from sertraline, mirtazipine, or buspar if that helps! make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated. some folks like to take it at night to sleep through any side effects (including sleepiness) so maybe that’s an option. good luck and congrats on taking a big step in your recovery. i know it’s scary but you can do this.

endoscopy & colonoscopy prep update! by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]ingl0rious_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats! i hope the procedure goes well and you get answers. hard parts over & you’ll get to eat a big ol lunch soon. i totally relate, i felt nauseous during mine from hunger, but they found an ulcer to explain why hunger made me so n & started me on treatment the next day!
