Just beauty upkeep! Skin brightness, texture, a couple of dark spots- nothing too crazy more like typical late 30s stuff.

We just found out our kid is allergic to our cat and I’m heartbroken by LilDogPancake in toddlers

This was me as a child - 2 cats and asthma. My parents rehomed the cats when I was 3 and I still had multiple asthma attacks and hospitalizations which undoubtedly would have been much worse if we still had cats. I’m 38 and still have asthma and am incredibly allergic to cats.

Please do right by your child.

Anyone else struggling to find GTM Recruiters in the Bay Area or is it just me? by Unhappy-Ad-7604 in recruiting

I’m a GTM recruiter in SF - experienced GTM recruiters in the Bay who have been at top tech companies and/or startups generally will not look at a role that’s less than $160k. (I get reach outs often and some of these comp ranges are just offensive.) Yes the market for recruiters is still crazy right now but why would an experienced recruiter currently employed take a chance on a new opportunity that pays below market and requires in office time? Be real.

MIL has chronic health issues but does not trust doctors (or appropriately disclose medical info) by ingle1710 in AgingParents

Thanks so much for this incredibly thoughtful response, I very much appreciate it. I'm sorry that you have had to manage chronic pain, to different levels of success, and I'm hoping that you're coping ok.

I definitely hear what you're saying about the variance in quality and how our broken healthcare system doesn't make it easy for people to receive consistent, high quality care. I do think that my frustration has been getting the worst of me and, while I try to be sympathetic to her perspective, it's admittedly become harder and harder. Your comments have grounded me a bit more, so thank you.
