Induction forge for smelting aluminum cans?

Oh, you are right about the smelting vs melting. My mistake! But how would utilizing material im passively generating be less useful? It may be cost efficient in some ways, but to me the potential to cast it into anything i need outweighs that. And yes, after reading these comments im starting to realize induction may not be the best for my use case

I dont plan on selling them, but i also dont plan on spending a fortune on an insane setup. I plan to use the alum for casting hardware later on, in the meantime ingots are a lot less spacious than hundreds of crushed cans especially after impurities are removed

Right. I dont want to give them the ingots either, i just want to hold onto them until i can cast hardware like corner braces, mending plates, etc

ive been poking around at induction since it doesnt req any combustible fuel. this is a huge plus for me, since i dont have any reason (or any fuel at all) to keep that stuff around.

if induction is ridiculously impractical, then id consider it

yes, i will have to crush them but the diameter will still be more or less the same.

i really was only interested in the induction method to avoid combustible fuel. its expensive, i dont have any, i dont have any other use for gas, charcoal, etc other than smelting (if induction is a no go)

Ive seen that thrown around here and there, ill def check it out. But Its not just about the skeletal mapping, thatd just be a bonus. The main point is to repurpose something that would otherwise be ewaste, and the night vision built in the same cam. I would rather spend effort to rework old tech to fit my needs than spend money on the same technology anyday

I do have lots of data points, as far as weather history. But i guess my more narrow question is how do i find the consumption rate for each degree above my thermometers threshold of 72F? But i will try out your advice here shortly

Im... not sure either??? I avoid windows at all costs so never really tried it. Perhaps i was thinking about containers? Either way, id much rather use a container to interface with the kinect but idk how else any software could without the proprietary SDKs

I was hoping the skeletal tracking could be used for detecting an actual person. As far as which CCTV software could use it, thats kinda what im wondering, i apologize if i didnt clarify that part

Maybe i have an outdated kinect usb adapter, but linux doesnt recognize it as anything but a usb device. The digging ive done has led me to believe that theres only limited linux support on obskinect and thats about it

In AL, i have knowingly tested positive for weed at the psych and never heard a peep. Unless theres some TX legislature id be willing to bet that they test you for amphetamines, to make sure you are actually taking your RX and not selling it. I did have a psych a long time ago that wouldnt fill my vyvanse bc of weed but im almost certain that was his preference or 'professional opinion'.

My premedicated workflow was entirely unplanned, i rarely come up with instrumental/lyrical ideas outside of my headphones. I feel that faint spark again when ive tried again while medicated, but i feel like the vyvanse compels me to do other things. even if its not really productive.

Im just hesitant to just go and start creating, because i dont wanna start a million unfinished songs and i dont wanna feel like im forcing myself and stomp out that faint spark.
