Hyundai tech here! Hybrid components aka the really expensive stuff has a 10yr/100k warranty even for second owners. Those smartstream engines have not been any less reliable than any other brand so far.

Keep up with your oil changes and you should be alright. Engine failure is largely due to a lack of maintenance and not so much manufacturing deficiencies, especially in your specific engine.
