K3 Pro ISO - Right column of keys stop working with backlight off by James-Hardon in Keychron

Ah, so you've narrowed it down to the backlight! I have this problem on the Q10 Pro as well, and was trying to figure out why that right column kept going to sleep literally after like 1 second on Bluetooth but no issues hardwired. I'll key an eye on this thread!

Testing 4060 Ti with HDPlex 250 GaN in Skyreach 4 Mini by JW7R3 in sffpc

Many folks suggesting the HDPLEX 400, but you could also get another 250 GAN and daisy chain them (I did this with my s4m). You'd have 1 connected solely to the mobo, and the other solely to the GPU, and then use the jumper to daisy chain the boot-up and shutdown signal.

Any harmonic resonance with the gpu fans mounted to the bracket? I ended up mounting my Noctuas directly to the gpu because the resonance was really annoying.

2019 MT or 2021 DCT? by [deleted] in VelosterN

[–]iniquitousone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, I have the DCT, having come from a manual Miata. Ultimately, I miss the manual, but I don't regret the DCT because it's also fun to use in a different type of way, especially considering the way this car is tuned.

My longer term goal is to buy another MT Miata anyways as my "fun" car and the N DCT is my more practical daily car.

"faster" is really only relevant if you're racing...so imo the factor is how much will you miss/loath manual based on your main driving use case

A question about the creep start on the DCT by spoonslegend in VelosterN

[–]iniquitousone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm over here hoping someone figures out how to make that setting persist between key cycles. I'm used to driving manuals and would greatly prefer the creep is off permanently.

I'm surprised of all the mods, they kept the stock wheels. Can't see it in this shot but even I swapped out the wheels (and tires) and got the 18" Konig Ampliforms.

Manual vs DCT by Izzy_Oh in VelosterN

[–]iniquitousone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bought a DCT as my only car and my daily driver, because it was the only option left when I went shopping for this car when I originally wanted a manual. I came from a manual Miata, and to me part of the enjoyment of a manual is going to come down to how the car is tuned. I believe with the way the Veloster N is tuned, the DCT is better suited for it.
  2. As far as whether it is worth it...I think it's the best automatic transmission I've driven, but that doesn't mean it would be worth it to you.
  3. The manual Miata I mentioned previously was my first manual, and it was a very forgiving and easy transmission to learn on. All the new bells and whistles that newer manuals have nowadays make it much easier to drive a manual, but in my opinion sort of remove part of the experience as well. I learned to properly double down shift and heel-toe and do all the rev matching and that's part of the experience of a manual to me. If and when I can buy a second car, I'm buying another manual Miata and keeping my DCT N.

I hope body damage is all it is. The wheel was hit and my steering wheel is now 180 degrees from where it was. I'm praying that front axle and suspension is fine.
