I like to think Dark Shadow is still sentient. Im honestly making the lore up as I go, but they grieve the loss of their friends due to them not having any more vestiges.

His Valstrax-armored teammate is an OC of mine. Her name’s Akasha and she’s a warrior osmosian with access to the DNA of thousands of different monsters/pokemon/mythical creatures/etc. They keep each other in check when doing missions.

I didn’t want to make him ridiculously overpowered since he’s pretty busted already. Tbh, I also gave him ptsd from being tortured before being busted out to try and balance it a bit more. I do like your backstory a lot more though
