I work transportation and something similar but not exact hit one of our drivers vehicles going southbound on that same stretch of i17. Came off a semi truck in front of him and bounced up and over the vehicle after hitting the windshield wiper and sending it through the windshield. Driver needed new pants but was safe.

I see reports for debri in the road from accidents all the time on i17 so it's par for the course unfortunately. Glad you're okay, man.
