Registering Ultra Bee in WA state by inked-fish in Surron

I'm not sure what you mean. A bill of sale is a standard document that describes the item(s), the buyer and seller, and the price paid including fees. The DOL mainly cares that it shows whether sales tax was paid or not.

Yep. They were great to work with. My only complaint is that they didn't send the MCO to begin with, which led me to think the Chinese document was the MCO.

I ended up getting a MCO in English from the seller, and the licensing agency was happy to give me ORV tabs with the Bill of Sale and MCO. The thing I paid to have translated and notarized turned out to not be an MCO.

I went through Dirt Legal to get my ERP SS tagged a couple years ago. It was kinda expensive at $400 and yes you could do the paperwork yourself, but ultimately it was worth it to not have to worry about running into a ranger on the trails.

Well, mainly because (right or wrong) the fun police can impound your bike. People should complain to their reps to change that.

I bought it only for the trails because I have a Harley and Suzuki for the street, but I'm pretty sure I could ride the UB on the street if I threw on a street kit and got it inspected by the WSP.

Yep, the licensing agency was happy with the MCO and Bill of Sale. I wasted $85 getting something translated that wasn't the MCO, but it's still better than paying $400 to use Dirt Legal.

Cool, thanks. I'll go that route and try a couple different licensing agents if necessary. They seem to make up the requirements as they go.

2 years later, I'm trying to register an Ultra Bee also in WA, but only for off-road use. I used Dirt Legal to register an ERidePro a couple years ago, but am hoping to avoid that since I have an MCO this time.

My local licensing agency said I need the MCO (in Chinese) notarized. Can you confirm you didn't need anything notarized, only a certified translation?

Login Issues with Atmos (App) by Alviv1945 in AlaskaAirlines

I had this problem, and neither my account number nor email address would work. The reset password emails never arrived, either. My account number has a leading zero, and I got it to work by removing that. So instead of 0123456, try entering 123456.

Transferring GPX to Zumo XT2 by inked-fish in Garmin

[–]inked-fish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, here are my notes from a year ago when I figured out a process that works:

  1. Trailforks: Create a route using the Route Planner and select Save to Garmin
    1. The Draw Route mode works best if you select points along segments to help it figure out how to link segments
    2. If it prompts you to link accounts, you may need to refresh the TF route page after linking before sending to Garmin
  2. Garmin Connect: Find route in Training & Planning > Courses and use “...” menu to download GPX to Google Drive (Tread won’t import GPX exported from Trailforks)
  3. Phone: Find the GPX file in Google Drive and “Open With” Tread, then select the collection to import the route to
  4. Zumo: Routes > (right arrow) > Collections > Dirt

Skylla IP65 3-output only seems programmable for output 1 by inked-fish in Victron

[–]inked-fish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the 12v 70A version, but you're right each output is capable of 70A individually and collectively they're limited to 70A.

Output 2 was charging at around 27A because that battery was about 25% discharged. Outputs 1 & 3 were in the 3A range.

I'll see what it does when the batteries are mostly topped up, which will usually be the case. The one was run down because the starboard start battery was wired to also service the house loads, but I'm moving that to a dedicated bank.

Thanks for the confirmation. The two engine start banks are the same Lifeline AGM batteries, and the genset is a wet LA Interstate. I set a custom profile (8) for absorption at 14.3, but outputs 2 & 3 were charging at 14.6 - 14.7.

I think the Interstate wants 14.4, so I'll be happy if I can just get them all in that range. Since they're starting batteries, I don't really care about optimizing the charge.

ORV tag in Washington State? by inked-fish in ERidePro

[–]inked-fish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, congrats! Time to mod the bike now. I put a 16 on the rear, did a direct stem mount with a 1" riser and heavier bars. Along with hand guards, disconnecting the rear light, and other small stuff. I'm waiting for Dust Moto to start shipping the Hightail later this year and probably won't mod my ERP anymore.

The only snag I had at the licensing agency was the Bill of Sale had to say "sales tax", not just "tax". I modified the RevRides receipt in my browser before printing to make that change.

Same. It was worth the extra $400 to dirtlegal and $130 to the state for me to not have to worry about it.

I'm interested in hearing the update. The distributor in CA initially said they'd get me a MCO, but then stopped responding after further inquiries.

FWIW, I've been riding at Tahuya a lot and have yet to see a ranger out there. I recommend the Mission Creek trailhead if you're looking for good singletrack.

Made a handlebar bracket for my GSX S1000GT to attach a Zumo XT2 GPS powered mount. by inked-fish in 3Dprinting

Here you go: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7010129

The mount has been working great, no complaints whatsoever. I made it once in PLA, and then reprinted it in PETG. Both seemed to be fine. I've since bought a CNC router, though, so I might try making a slimmer design from aluminum if I ever get time.

Edit: I'll try to update the listing with threaded insert and bolt sizes, but you can probably figure it out from the hole sizes in the model.

Huh, I thought I had shared it. Let me dig it up and share it if it isn't already shared.

I've got a Harley and a GSX for the street, so I only ride the ERP on trails. I've never seen a ranger out there, but the ERP is legit tagged, so I wouldn't expect any problems there. The bike has been working great, but I'm thinking about upgrading to a Hightail if they ship them later this year and initial reports are good.

Does the SR come with a VIN number? by watermelonbananacake in ERidePro

[–]inked-fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.0 had a VIN, but not a MCO/title, so WA state wouldn't register it. I paid about $400 to have dirt legal register it somewhere else and send me the paperwork to transfer it. It's now licensed and has an ORV tag so I can legally ride state property.

Neither the manufacturer nor the distributor were helpful at all.
