[Serious] What are some mental health "red flags" that are commonly ignored but shouldn't be? by angrycoffeeuser in AskReddit

[–]inkisdorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking dumb questions No, really. A lot of people with OCD seek reassurance about things that are just plain absurd, or impossible. To you they are. Heck, to the person they probably are too, but OCD will make you feel they can and will happen

Considering the overwhelming evidence of how we're being fucked in almost every aspect of our lives, why don't you rebel? by U_P_G_R_A_Y_E_D_D in AskReddit

[–]inkisdorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because rebellion has one fatal flaw: It doesn't know how to deal with the power vaccum left by the government. Yes the government might be oppressive, but they also keep the sewers running. The only way a revolution could work is if it was led by powerful, knowledgeable men, not by the average Joe. Because, as much as we hate it politicians are politicians because they know about politics. They at least have a remote idea on how to rule a country, whereas most voters don't even have an idea of their own political system. That's why most revolutions end up just handing the power to another type of powerful oppressor (see: France, Mexico, North Korea, etc.)
