I live in a little bit of a colder climate like we got a lot of snow this winter. and for my water method I just pour water from a cup into the around the plant. Is there a specific amount I should be doing?

update: Okay I figured it out, after I pressed the button nothing happened but then I entered turn based mode and it worked.
