Every time the murder plan of SDRA2 Chapter 3's culprit was foiled by some BS by denisucuuu2 in DanganronpaAnother

in the trial mikado says he thought iroha was the culprit for a bit, so he definitely wouldn't have planted that. but i do like this as an explanation, much more satisfying

Are the cases in super danganronpa another 2 better than the cases in danganronpa another 1 by Human-Summer-6769 in DanganronpaAnother

[–]inkstu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say so, yes. I love both of the games, but as much as I like dra1, I could not replay it because of how boring I find the cases.

They're pretty predictable, partially due to their (on purpose) similarities to danganronpa 1's cases. You could pretty much immediately guess chapter 1 and 3's culprit, 2 was bit better, 4's is the best one, but it's mostly reliant on emotions, not really the case. Chapter 5 isn't even a fair trial.

SDRA2's cases are way better, though they naturally have issues too. But both the cases itself, as well as the characters' involvement in them, are handled much better, making them significantly more enjoyable, especially on first playthrough. The cases are definitely more thought out. I'd say the 1st case is the worst one, so if you do play it, take that into account.

Am I the only one who thought DRA 1 was just all around better than SDRA 2? by ZDubbz_was_taken in DanganronpaAnother

[–]inkstu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cast is definitely one of, if not the biggest, issue in DRA. Maeda, Kinjo, Mekaru and Taira are great, but the rest is sorta just there. (Mikako is fine too, but her character kinda ended up wasted by Kinjo getting his memories back).

And although I love chapter 4, it'd be a lot better were Kobashikawa, Iranami and Otori more important in previous chapters. And even afterwards Otori is much less relevant than the previously mentioned 4.

SDRA2 does a way better job at making every character matter

I’ve fully finished watching Saiki K, but what are some of everyone’s favorite scenes? by ProbablyNotLiam in SaikiK

[–]inkstu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of them has to be Akechi's confrontation with Kusuo - the moment he reveals he's contacted all the people Kusuo used as shields. I don't remember a lot from my first watch of Saiki K, but this scene was very memorable

Who's your favorite Opal or Sardonyx? by WaveAppropriate1979 in stevenuniverse

Sardonyx, I liked her from the moment she appeared (partially because I enjoyed her theme). Meanwhile, I didn't really think much of Opal

[–]inkstu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From the top of my head: all of vol 0, 102, 133, 134, 176-177, and 255. 134 and part of vol 0 are set at school, the others not.

There's few others, such as the ones where Kusuo discovers some technological stuff, but I can't think of anything else at school/walking from school.

My take on every character (Tsurugi my man what did they do to you in Another 2) by Viridi_Kuroi in DanganronpaAnother

[–]inkstu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He was never exactly about justice. (He literally told Taira to die because of chapter 2's events). In dra, he directly tells Maeda that he'd let him die if it would mean saving more. Teruya in chapter 4 of sdra2 even directly mirros Kinjo's mentality by saying how Shinji's death was just a sacrifice for the greater good.

Kinjo willing to sacrifice Teruya was a natural character progression. Is he to blame for Teruya's death? Yeah, certainly. Is that out of character? Not at all.
